Pienza is a beautiful village, the Val d'Orcia is breathtaking. We were welcomed by Paola, who is a magnificent ambassador for the property, she really made us feel incredibly welcome. The restaurant was also excellent, we had a fantastic dinner. We came off season, (March) which added to the tranquility. I think you would come here to enjoy a quiet, peaceful retreat, and it is a nice base to explore the Tuscan wine region.

This is a small town so a car is necessary to enjoy the area. There is only one restaurant in town but it is very gook. The town is close to other Tuscan towns such as Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino so there are lots of options to dine out. You can explore the town itself walking. Just an enjoyable, quiet place to relax.

A very beautiful place in the Tuscan style. The popular red wine regions are reachable within 30 minutes. A small supermarket provides the essentials. A larger and more attractive supermarket is about 25 minutes away.

It's a beautiful village, but it's a shame we visited it on...

It's a beautiful village, but it's a shame we visited it on a very hot week. There are other small villages nearby worth visiting, such as Montisi with its district flags. Equally noteworthy are all the trattorias and pizzerias where the food is excellent.

Castelmuzio is a beautiful village nestled between the Val d'Orcia and Val di Chiana. It's very quiet, with stunning views and an unforgettable atmosphere. Getting around Castelmuzio by car is easy. It's just a few kilometers from Pienza, Montepulciano, Torrita di Siena, Rocca d'Orcia, Castiglione d'Orcia, and Bagni Vignoni.

We liked EVEVRYTHING about our stay at La Moscadella (including Meesh the Cat). Right from the rooms, the breakfast place, the wine tasting and the food, La Moscadella was the highlight of our 10 day trip in Italy. The recommendations from Serena were absolutely brilliant and she was so patient to answer so many questions on the toll/driving front. Our wine tasting with Fred and the following dinner was superb. In fact, exploring sleepy Castelmuzio where the property is located was another delight.

Casa Marelli is located in a small village Castelmuzio. Upon entering the village I was amazed by how beautiful it is. We felt so lucky to be able to stay in this charming village, living the life of a local, going to the same restaurant in town(and a very good one) and enjoying the viewpoint that’s right next to the casa. The view from the window of the property is great too. The apartment is beautifully decorated, clean and equipped with all the essentials. Highly recommend!

The host was friendly and helpful. The house itself is stunning, tastefully decorated and well-equipped. Every time we needed something (like bandaids, insect repellent, sunscreen, extra tea towels, chargers and adaptors etc) we found it. The locals in Castelmuzio were nice and helped us find places when we got a bit lost. One of my favourite places I've been to, it really was special.
