We had a wonderful stay at this small house near the factory. Irene, the host, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect for families – our kids loved the open space and especially enjoyed visiting the factory with its animals. It was a peaceful and authentic experience, far more relaxing than staying in crowded Ortisei. The atmosphere was charming and genuine – a perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!

Castelrotto/Kasteruth is a delightful town set in beautiful surroundings and is we thought just the right size. Large enough to have two supermarkets , a number of choices for restaurants/Cafes , a Pharmacy , a number of clothes shopping opportunities but small enough that we never felt over crowded. It is delightful to see young children laughing their way off to school early morning. And there is a Gelato shop! There is a brand new lift that goes up to several delightful mountain walks at 1,500 metres , as I recall, and a restaurant and play area for children at the top.

Location was excellent as could walk into town in 5 mins. Location was super quiet, parking undercover in the garage. Everything needed for self catering, well equipped kitchen, very spacious bedroom and lounge dining, Host was Doris and was very responsive to a few questions. I will definitely stay again next time I am in the area. Breakfast not supplied as was ABNB format and was self catering. Will stay again and recommend to anyone. Supermarket was 5 mins walk into town, Plenty of cafes and restaurants

Having to order food by 8 pm each evening was not very helpful especially if I had been out late in the afternoon. There were one or two restaurants open till later ( taking orders) but I did not know about them till too late. I didn’t find the restaurants particularly good in fact. But they were not as expensive as I expected either. The Eurospar store was amazing. It was very well stocked indeed and was very useful. My hotel in Castelrotto was excellent. To be able to use the buses free of charge was very welcome and the bus drivers were all very helpful too. Castelrotto is very well located for walks and trips to Seiser Alm and St Ulrich for the Secede cable cars. The scenery and walks up on the Alms were amazing. And everything was well organised and ran smoothly.

Great location for hiking.

Great location for hiking. We took the bus over to Seis am Schlern. the buses are free with the tourist tickets. From there we got the cable car up to the Alpe de Suisi which is a beautiful alpine meadow, where it very safe to hike and there are lots of facilities for hikers of all abilities including families. We also hiked from Castelrotto over to Seis am Schlern which is another beautiful hike. Some of the nicest scenery I have ever seen.

Absolutely beautiful part of the world.

Absolutely beautiful part of the world. Many, many hiking and trail biking opportunities. Castelrotto had everything we needed for our week stay. Buses can take you pretty much anywhere you want to go in the area.

We stayed three nights, which was a good start. Good food, easy access to groceries, and ability to navigate the entire town on foot were welcomed. Kastelruth/Castelrotto has a great location to nearby trails and the gorgeous Seiser Alm. It was nice to have two days to go to the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi----the first day was wildly foggy and we couldn't see much at all. The second day was absolutely amazing-----choosing to stay longer than overnight was a wise decision. I can see how one could stay in the area for a week or two. Museums (for Ötzi in Bolzano, the Messners), a trip to Lake Braies, multiple hikes/biking trips could keep you busy---not to mention the winter sports area all terrific options while staying in this wonderful town.

I was really happy with the hotel. The food was really good, I booked half board package, and that also included afternoon snack free of charge. The location was good, it allowed me to move around the area with local buses and it was for free as I got my weekly bus ticket at the hotel. The hotel Staff was really nice and helpful. They provided me with lots of material for local activities. Restaurant staff was also extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable.

This is an amazing hotel run by a welcoming and dedicated family who have a great passion for what they do. Excellent location. Food, service and facilities exceptional. Hotel staff personable and goes out of its way to welcome all nationalities. We truly recommend this hotel and intend to visit again. Wanted to extend our stay as it was so good, but unfortunately there were no spare rooms.

Such a great place. The room was clean and confortable. Cofffee/tea, kettle, fridge, dishes for everyone to use in the hallway , and then you leave them and they magically appear clean.. a dream come true. Situated between Castelrotto village and Seis, in walking distance. Thel ady of the house in friendly and helpful. Located im Italy, but organized by the Austrians.
