Case Di Latomie is perfection! It’s so peaceful, set in an olive farm with a beautiful swimming pool, outdoor areas, breakfast room and separate restaurant. The staff there were so incredibly welcoming, warm and helpful. We loved chatting to them and they were amazing with our young boys. The rooms are spacious and really clean, and our bed was so comfortable. Breakfast is delicious! If you’re looking for a tranquil break that’s also close to things to do and larger towns, this is the place for you. The beach is only a few minutes’ drive away, and there’s an amazing archaeological site with the most incredible temple only 10 minutes away - definitely worth seeing! Such a great and welcoming place - I wholeheartedly recommend.

Location very close to the amazing archeological site of Selinunte. Easy to park. Quiet 5 minutes walk downhill to the beach at Triscina Jessica is a fantastic host. She made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious. We asked for a vegetarian evening meal and Jessica made us a feast finished off with home-made limoncello Great to talk to Jessica. She's a very interesting, well-travelled person who speaks excellent English

The place itself is lovely.

The place itself is lovely. Rooms full of character. pool and gardens are top class. The only negative was the cool welcome we got from the guy (owner?) when we arrived and the complete lack of communication about evening meals or any refreshments available during the day. The venue is in a beautiful rural setting but as there’s no fridge in the room it would be useful to know whether any food or drink was available. This could have been a language barrier issue but easily remedied with an information sheet. The menu was not that clear what was on offer and the staff didn’t really know what the English version was - our fault, not theirs. Don’t be put off about staying here - just be prepared to use google translate if you don’t speak the lingo.

The town was a surprise as we discovered the parish church...

The town was a surprise as we discovered the parish church with its frescoes and lovely interior but - more importantly - the church of St Dominic with its stunning and impressive sculptured interior. Definitely well-worth visiting. Only 15 minutes drive away is the archaeological park of Selinunte with its layers of history unfolding before ones eyes.

Our stay was a great success, as we visited the excavations in Selinunte. In Castelvetrano, however, all the important churches and the Civic Museum were closed. Oddly enough, none of these sites had posted opening hours.

The village is a good base for visiting Selinunte, Agrigento...

The village is a good base for visiting Selinunte, Agrigento, or Mazara del Vallo. In Castelvetrano, the small "Sistine Chapel" of the Church of San Domenico is well worth a visit. The village is easy to get around, with little traffic.

A strategic location for visiting one of Europe's largest...

A strategic location for visiting one of Europe's largest archaeological parks, Selinunte, very close to Gibellina, where you can visit the astonishing Cretto di Burri. There are numerous wineries to visit and countless churches, each more beautiful than the last. It's just a 15-minute drive from the sea, where there are still pristine beaches. I wouldn't leave out the food, which is superb.

We preferred the archaeological site of Selinunte to Agrigento because you're surrounded by nature, with a wealth of flowers in the spring. It's nice that you can walk a bit further, but there's also a small train for the less energetic. Plus, you have a view of the sea.

The owners of this property are lovely and helpful. The place is full of gorgeous art. We loved how the owner shared some amazing baked items that her mother had made. And, they served the family olive oil. It was amazing! The area is very walkable. You can take a bus to the ruins of Selinunte. I had no idea that the Greeks left so much history in Sicily. This is a very special island, and we will return and stay at Palazzo Al Carmine again.

The owner was very kind and arranged a lift from Castelvetrano station to the apartment. Giuseppe who came to pick us up was also very helpful and gave us many informations. Near the apartment there was bus stops to go to Selinunte and Sciacca. We enjoyed visiting the Chiesa di San Domenico near the apartment. Also all the people we met in the streets of Castelvetrano were kind hearted.

Really lovely old farmhouse. Amazing food, recommend you should eat here, though the menu is the same if you're staying for a couple of days. Good location for visiting the amazing Selinunte archeological Park. This is a working olive farm producing their own oils. Highly recommended

Excellent location in a typical Little sicilan village near the beach and selinunte temple . The house had everything we needed with a nice pool, spa, bbq and a wonderful terrasse . Valerio is a wonderful host. If we come back in Sicily We Will come back
