We really enjoyed relaxing by the pool. The building is very old and charming, while the rooms are equipped with everything we needed. We really liked the way the landlord preserved its old charm. I didn't find the furniture old or outdated (as in some of the comments I have read here), on the contrary, it very much kept with the hotel's atmosphere. Breakfast in the small garden was a very nice addition. We felt very welcomed and were able to breathe some of the old air of Tuscany.

This hotel has a great soul. It's perfect complement for visiting and tasting the history of Italy and Bagni di Lucca. Everything fits perfectly. And you have a lot stuff to do in this area. Marvelous mountains, cute villages, the river and not so far to visit the sea. You won't be boring and in the same moment you will avoid the huge number of tourist. At this moment place belongs to a very nice lady, whose bought it from older Italian gentleman, so she speaks English and she's very helpful. The place is maybe old but very clean. You won't regret the time you spent there.

This place was set in a stunning location along a perfect narrow winding road, almost teasing you to what was to come. I was lucky to find myself as the only guest during my stay. I was spoilt! Katya and Andrea treated me as one of their family. It was peaceful, in beautiful setting surrounded by wildlife. We were even treated to the sounds and sights of deer rutting… an absolute privilege. This is a very quaint and beautiful village, with wonderfully furnished rooms. The buildings may be old but they have all the modern fittings, good heating during winter, and the beds were comfortable. We had an amazing night here and wished we had booked for more days. The hosts Daniela and Massimo were extremely friendly and you can tell they just love this place with all the hard work they have put into it and the way they explained their work and interact with the guests. This place makes their own honey, jams, cheeses and wine. The restaurant is fantastic, and is honestly one of the best meals we had during our trip.
