This is a delightful hotel with the most amazing and helpful staff. The whole building has been tastefully renovated and rooms are lovely. The property is just off a main route out of Florence, which makes it easy to get to Florence, Pisa, Chianti region and the rest of Tuscany - as long as you have transport. Breakfasts were very good with inside and outside seating. Nice pool with plenty of sunbeds and gazebos. They have a little spa facility and they bring in an outstanding masseuse if you book. I like a good massage and we live in Thailand, yet this is one of the best massages we have ever experienced - I had hot stone and my wife had office syndrome and acupressure. You are a 10-20 minute journey from the main trainline (depending on the station you want to go from) and this runs Florence-Pisa and beyond (train system is excellent too). Incredible restaurant just across the road, so don't be put off by not having a restaurant on-site. There is a bar service in the hotel so you can have drinks - alcoholic, non-alcoholic, coffee, etc. I think that is a 24 hour service?

Staying at Villa Il Poggiale Dimora Storica was like stepping back in time. The villa, with its 600-year-old history, is an incredibly charming. The service was exceptional. The staff were not only friendly and welcoming but also very knowledgeable about the villa's history and the local area. The surroundings of the villa are simply stunning. Nestled in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, the views from the property are breathtaking. The well-maintained gardens and serene atmosphere provided a perfect environment for vacation.

The room was very cute and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was really nice and stylish, I loved the shower which was huge! the receptionist told us we could have everything that was in the minibar for free, I appreciated it a lot and I found it to be a really kind thought. There was also a quite big TV, but we didn't have the chance to try that one.

The property is built around a beautiful historic building, a former church. The breakfast is poor, and the exit onto the provincial road is dangerous due to traffic noise. The rooms facing the road are noisy.

Excellent location, with a fantastic view from our room.

Excellent location, with a fantastic view from our room. Just down the hill from where it sits, there's a gas station with an excellent pastry shop where you can get a delicious breakfast. The bar is open late at night for all your needs. Just a few meters from the Fi Pi Li exit, you can reach Florence in just a few minutes.

A peaceful and enchanting place, imbued with the atmosphere of authentic Tuscany, dedicated to those who love to immerse themselves in nature—and are looking for an alternative to the chaos of more mass-tourist destinations. The best part: the bio-lake where you can swim among the water lilies in the shade of the cypress trees. The worst part: the somewhat bumpy access road.

To be honest I booked this as it was all that was left and so much better than the small hotel in the middle of Empoli I had found. Delicious breakfast, good restaurant close by. On a main road but room was air conditioned and sound proofing good so did not worry us. We were only here for 2 nights around a wedding close by. It was lovely to relax by the pool before and after the wedding.

A beautiful and simple family-run hotel nestled in the Tuscan hills that was perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The rooms were excellent, breakfasts were delicious and the staff were so welcoming, especially the owner, who really went above and beyond to make our stay really special!

Location is stunning, hotel has it's own restaurant but we dined in the one just literally across the road for a change of scenery. Hotel is friendly, clean and welcoming. Like staying with family. Rooms are good size and comfortable.
