Lots to see and do. Hire a Vespa/car and explore the island. Lots of places to swim except at the Mariner. The beaches are pebbles/rocks, some are pumice grain but easily manageable. The views from the mountain tops are stunning. Such a great view to Vulcano island. Visit white beach for the day and hire a beach chair and umbrella. The restaurant / bar at white beach is awesome and not expensive. They even have a guy pick you up in a car and chauffeur you down to the beach and a back up. , you’ll need to book. Stay near the marina, restaurant /cafes and shops are so close , easy walking. Ferry terminal Easy ferry ride over to the other Aeolian islands, stay for the day. Walk to the crater on Vulcano or visit Stromboli volcano or just explore other islands on a day trip . Take a tour to the varies grottos. I completely fell in love with the island! The main town is charming, and the natural scenery is absolutely breathtaking. We did a hike with views of Salina Island, and it was simply stunning. It’s also a great base for exploring other nearby islands. I only wish we had a few more days to enjoy it all!Guest review byYelena - 10.0
The museum is a must as it has relics going back to...
The museum is a must as it has relics going back to Neolithic and Roman times. All are well arranged and explained. It is next to the Basillica Concattedrale di San Bartolomeo which has a Norman cloister attached to it and was discovered while renovating. They are both built on the castle. The boat trips to islands were great from there. The one we did lasted from 10 am to 10 pm. They were the highlights for us.Guest review byPetaAustralia - 10.0

In my opinion it is the nicest island in the Aeolian archipelago , there is so much to do and see . Great restaurants and cafe bars , so much happens around the island and the ease of booking to visit other islands .. During my stay they had Hollywood ‘s Matt Damon and producer Chris Nolan hanging out ant the local bar and all the Universal studios equipment filming part of the film Odyssey due to be released in 2026.Guest review byJIMAustralia - 10.0

Lipari was one of the prettiest places I’ve visited in my life, with quaint streets, historical buildings, and beautiful rugged countryside. I walked to a pretty peninsula, took a ferry to Vulcano to trek up the volcano, swam in the sea by hot springs, and had two delicious meals in tiny restaurants. The apartment has two large bedrooms, one of which with air conditioning. The kitchen is equipped enough for basic needs for breakfast and basic meals. The apartment has a lovely bathroom with a walk in shower. The accommodation was located a few hundred meters from the tourist center of Lipari and was therefore pleasantly quiet. There was a shuttle service to the centre and the port. The room was clean and tidy and was quiet. The round pool was lovely and clean with a terrace surrounding it with sun loungers. The breakfast buffet was very tasty.
