The highlight for us was that the hotel is located on the beach side of the road, with a private beach just 25m from the front door. On top of that the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a great way to start the day.

Maiori is a quieter (thankfully) seaside town along the Amalfi Coast. Its perfect for exploring the whole coastline by ferry and bus. Its also very easy to visit Vietri ( think ceramics on a major scale). You can start the Path of Lemons right in Maiori ( we did) and also visit Ravello. We did the hike to Ravello ( there's a fork in the path) and it was really testing. Although you can see Ravello, its across a valley and so the hike takes you uphill, through the mountain forests and around the valley - some 8-9 kms as opposed to the easy lemon path (tough). Maiori has everything, but its not hectic like Amalfi and Positano ( you can easily escae back home) Don't hesitate to book Maiori or Minori (around the corner) both offer exceptional value when compared. Beware of accommodation up or down flights of stairs to get there, that's what many places will do to you - carrying luggage is tiresome.

Maiori is an interesting town on the Amalfi Coast.

Maiori is an interesting town on the Amalfi Coast. The beach is big and much more accessible that other towns. The local bus service (Sita) is good except that the buses fill up and you can be left waiting for the next one and hopefully get on it. The Amalfi Coast road is amazing, winding, narrow and so busy with traffic nonstop passing with inches to spare - sometimes buses and cars have to back up to pass on some parts. The Italian bus drivers are extremely skilled - some are nice, but some are extremely mean (and I think hate Tourists)

Amazing city with very nice restaurants and great ferry connection. It was a very good decision for us to stay in a smaller city, because Maiori has a fantastic beach, it was not that busy, but we still had access to all the bigger cities on the coast.

Maiori is a fantastic town — not as touristy or crowded as...

Maiori is a fantastic town — not as touristy or crowded as Amalfi, and not as expensive as Positano. It has the longest stretch of beach along the Amalfi Coast, complete with a lovely promenade for walking. This also means there are more hotel options on flat ground, without endless stairs, and several free beaches to choose from. Another great thing is that there are fewer boats here, and the port is located away from the main beach, which helps keep the water exceptionally clean. If you want to explore the rest of the coast, ferries depart from the port every couple of hours in all directions, making it easy and convenient to visit nearby towns.

We were 100% satisfied with our stay in Maiori. It’s a great place to base oneself on the Amalfi out of the frenzy of some of the other more touristy towns which are still easy to access by ferry or bus. Always lovely to get back to the calm and the lovely long stretch of beach that Maiori offers with great swimming.

This was one of the best stays we ever experienced in Italy - apartment is absolutelly wonderful, the location is great - short walk to beach, restaurants, supermarkets - all is within a walking distance:-) Maiori itself is great, so much calmer than other towns in Amalfi coast but equally beatutiful! Aparment had everything you might need for a longer or shorter stay - Marcello and Anassia were both wonderful, attentive, very friendly - I can only recommend this place for everyone looking to make their stay in Amalfi wonderful!

My friend and I stayed in the apartment for 7 days, we liked everything: the hostess is very responsive and attentive, the apartment is clean and comfortable, everything you need for your stay is there: internet, hair dryer, dishes, washing machine, iron, even adapters for sockets. The location of the apartment is excellent: close to the beach, bus stop, and the center. The house is quiet and cozy. Guests need to remember about waste sorting in Italy))

Everything was perfect, we love our stay :) Would love to come back one day ! It was lovely to go to Cafe Marcel every morning and to enjoy the local atmosphere ora grab some pizza at Donna Maria :) the appartment is very close to the city center :) and Maiori is the best place to stay at Amalfi coast :)

The location is great, super close to the beach. The apartment is super spacious, bed is comfortable. Host is really nice and made us feel welcome. The double gate makes you feel safe! Maiori is a nice location to stay at in the Amalfi coast.
