We really enjoyed our stay at Il Melo. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming, we got self check-in instructions the day before which was very helpful. The room was big and tidy, had everything you‘d need, even some breakfast basics and sweets. Free and safe parking on the property.

The guest house is just a few steps to cafes and other facilities. The supermarket, bakery and laundromat are just 5 minutes walk away. There is easy access to the port and bus stops for trips to other places. The owners had supplied complimentary extras like Sardinian small cakes and small samples of body cream etc and it was wonderful to have tea making facilities and the use of a coffee machine.

Large spacious apartment, two bedrooms, two bathrooms. And large living space. Lots of facilities such as beach towels and hairdryer which were extremely useful. . Excellent communication and helpful advice from host. Free parking, nice neighbourhood. Lovely outdoor balcony with outdoor seating.

Porto Torres is a small town and one can think it has not...

Porto Torres is a small town and one can think it has not much to offer. Actually, it has some very good and special restaurants and in August it hosts the “summer carnival” which is very nice. But the nicest thing about it is the logistic position ; with maximum 30 minutes driving you can reach many different beaches in any direction

I liked the possibility to prepare my own breakfast ( don‘t like the sweet pastries you get in the cafes — or the large buffets in more expensive places) at the Balai Hotel Nice shopping place / most beautiful church Good food at the restaurants along the promenade

We found this town a little boring.

We found this town a little boring. Although it is a perfect starting point for a ferry trip to Donkey Island (with bikes rented in town), or for an intermediate stop on a journey, but not worth spending even one full day.

The apartment was really cosy, furnished and decorated with lovely Sardinian handcrafted decorations. The rooms were comfortable and perfectly clean, you can smell the scent as soon as you walk inside. It was well located with restaurants, supermarkets, beaches and the port at walking distance. It’s the perfect accommodation if you have to catch the ferry in the early morning! The host was welcoming and really helpful. Definitely recommended!

Great little apartment close to the centre of Porto Torres. I stayed her for one night before getting a ferry to Spain. Didn't have much time to explore but the apartment had everything we needed for one evening, including a nice little balcony to sit and enjoy some wine on! Plenty of appliances, etc in the kitchen to cook your own food if you wanted. Comfy bed and nice shower.

A beautiful view from the apartment in a quiet seafront of Porto Torres. The apartment had everything we needed, comfortable and well-located. Automatic gate with number code to get vehicles in to secure parking. Easy check in and check out. Highly recommend this place! Grazie per tutti!
