This was a lovely stop on our journey home to Calais with our pet Labrador. The hotel and and rooms were very comfortable with a small balcony for our dog. Our dog also received a goodie bag at breakfast in the morning which included a portable drinking bowl and a treat. He also made a friend at breakfast too.

This a splendid hotel , spacious and classic how hotels used to be , elegance and glamour from an Agatha Christie novel , American bar ,billiards room, and card tables . We we're just travelling through and unfortunately only stayed one night with breakfast, but what a breakfast, when was the last time you were shown to your table by a Maîtred in a white jacket , the breakfast was amazing. They have their own sunbeds on the beach and are free to guests with a lovely bar and all facilities. You can hire bicycles from the reception and explore the vast sea front on a wide cycle path next to the beach. There is a rooftop spa with amazing views . Private free parking at the rear.

San Benedetto del Tronto is overpriced of at least 30% moneys worth-value did not meet my expectancies. A special mention to the restaurant owners, do not con people into believing you have top quality materials when in reality you know you are not serving true genuine Italian food but prepared sauces and frozen fish. I did encounter 1 on 10 good restaurants which I did appreciate but still 30% overpriced for its worth value.

San Benedetto is great for two or three nights if you want...

San Benedetto is great for two or three nights if you want to relax on beach … keep in mind July august super busy…good restaurants need reservations … I believe what is a 4 star hotel is really 3 stars by standards of other hotels in Italy / Europe … but they have a fun evening scene … bike paths down a long promenade to ride is fun … if your not Italian you will feel like a tourist !!!

Apartment was modern and functional.

Apartment was modern and functional. Clean and in the centre of the town. Terrace on the side of the bedroom too small and on a busy pedestrianised road. Downfall, no free parking and if you arrive on a Friday morning there is a market, so even worse. But that's not a huge problem in my book. I would recommend it.

I went during the off season so not so many people and the...

I went during the off season so not so many people and the chalets on the beaches were closed, which I knew and which I expected so there was no disappointment there. The beaches are beautiful. The city center is quaint and there is a lot of activity in the evenings--people walking around, restaurants, bars, etc. The pier is lovely for walking along as well and there are several pedestrian paths that are along the sea. People are friendly and the food is fantastic!

It's definitely a great place for a relaxing beach holiday...

It's definitely a great place for a relaxing beach holiday or weekend. The beaches are wide and golden, and you can take lovely walks along the seafront and the road with a wide sidewalk and bike path. I went off-season, but I've already seen excellent summer options.

The perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

The perfect place for a relaxing holiday. You can easily explore it by bike without having to take the car. The kilometer-long seafront is full of beach clubs and restaurants, all well-equipped for children. The lively town center offers lovely walks. Younger couples seeking nightlife will need a car, but everything is still close by.
