We had a wonderful stay! Marco was incredibly kind and welcoming. The room was super clean, beautifully decorated, and had a cozy charm characteristic of a peaceful Italian villa and far from the crowds. Unfortunately, we only had two nights, but we’ll definitely be back for more!

This is truly wonderful hotel in the very heart of Trieste, hidden away in a charming little alley. Everything is on your doorstep but without any noise from the street or bars. The rooms are very clean, breakfast was basic but pleasant - very good coffee! We were welcomed with a glass of wine in the evening whilst day time arrivals enjoyed a cup of coffee. The staff very super helpful and friendly. Our room had a nice newly renovated bathroom. Great bonus was an option of secure gated parking 5min walk from the hotel at 15EUR per day. We'd love to stay again.

I loved the architecture outside and inside, the entrance and reception area is exquisite and takes your breath away. Our room was more the generous in size we absolutely loved it. Loved the corridors it felt old world with a modern touch. The staff were so lovely and friendly and excellent location.

A marked hiking trail right next to the hotel led towards the coast, which I would have loved to explore further. We had two large dogs with us, and they reacted very well to this, assigning us a room with a large balcony upon arrival.

The well-maintained and precise trail signage allowed me to easily navigate the various routes. The valley is clean and well-maintained, and from here you can easily reach points of interest in both Italy and Slovenia.

San Dorligo is a small village on the edge of a natural park...

San Dorligo is a small village on the edge of a natural park. Its central square is very charming. Numerous trails start from the nearby refuge, where you can eat well. Trieste is less than 15 minutes away by car, and you can get there in a flash.

It's a quiet place, outside the city in the mountains, with...

It's a quiet place, outside the city in the mountains, with beautiful hikes and special experiences like the giant cave. You can eat well at the Hotel Pesek, for example, or in a restaurant or pizzeria, or you can take a day trip to Trieste.

Spectacular breakfast, jams and cakes made by Barbara, Paolo's helpfulness and his chilled Malvasia, the young and cellar-tempered Refosco, the vegetables from the garden, the geese, the chickens, the dogs, each one better than the next, the rabbit, in short, an earthly paradise.

Excelent hotel, on the great location with big parking in front of the hotel. Very clean and comfortiable room, standard italian breakfast. Pizzeria is so good, you can eat in the garden.
