Everything was more than perfect. The family rooms are very nice. The location comes with a great view. The host was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast comes with frech orange juice and local bread and local cheese. Simply wonderful.

Peter & Wietske's home has been meticulously renovated to preserve the architectural and artistic beauty of the past. It was an amazing place to stay. The thoughtful design of our room, which included a very lovely shower and vanity, which is modern but in keeping with the rest of the room. Our bed was very comfortable, I could have stayed in bed all day just watching the world pass by through the beautiful shuttered widows. Where the vista is of the other side of the valley and onto the mountains. Our private toilet was across from our room. This is a smart and functional feature of an older building as it maximises the space in a room. The breakfast is fantastic. We were spoilt for choice, and Pieter will whip up and omlete or eggs with bacon on request. Out in the garden in the afternoon with a drink from the bar was a great way to reflect on our day before a short walk up to the local tavern for dinner. The food and service were fantastic. Peter and Wietske are wonderful hosts and will ensure your stay at Villa il Maiale Bianco will be one you will want to repeat again. Because we definitely will.

Anna's Home

A village where we unfortunately only spent one night. Clearly, there are opportunities for beautiful hikes. Ideally located for visiting Lake Como without the crowds and noise. Very disappointed with the Twins pizzeria where we ate; by far the worst meal of our entire holiday in Italy.

Great place to stay in the mountains away from the tourist circus on Lake Como, which is a 15min drive away. There are also some good restaurants in the mountain village around the Villa (walking distance, although be prepared for walking uphill). The Villa is a beautifully renovated historic building run by a friendly Dutch couple. It has just a couple rooms and the neighbourhood is quiet. Great place to relax or to use as a base as exploring the Como and/or Lugano areas.

Our room was recently renovated and really modern. Everything was clean and well equipped. The staff was really friendly even though we can't speak any italian. The breakfast was simple but really delicious. The location is only 10-15 minutes by car from the next village at the lake. From there you can take a ferry to other parts of the lake. Over all we were really happy with our stay.

The hotel is in old building which is renovated. Nice area, you can stay in the middle of nature and just relax. Parking, restaurant on site. Nice personal, friendly people. Fantasctic view from the restaurant . Possibility for hiking and walking. Room was nice with a big balcony/terrase.
