True and honest,rare to find. It may be not the best location an it may not be the best updated place you can find, BUT: friendly reception, professionally clean rooms, great towels of excellent quality and dedicated service at dinner. I want to adress the head waiter, a true professional who not only once but three times checked our table. That indicated pride and dedication. So chosing this hotel should not be very difficult. Yes, it will be a rare find soon to find. Here not only about the latest trends but hospitality as a profession. A big compliment for this place.

This is a rather typical, local Calabrian town.

This is a rather typical, local Calabrian town. If you're looking for a tourist destination where you can buy souvenirs and eat pizza in a bar geared towards international tourism, this is not the place for you. However, if you like local experiences, authentic cuisine and meeting nice, friendly people, then this is the place for you. Bear in mind that from time to time, you will need to step out of your comfort zone, talk to people in Italian and adapt to the local way of life. Would this, however, be a real value of travel :-)

A small town, in a quiet and peaceful area, easily accessible from Reggio Calabria Airport. The beach is long and wide, but the sea gets deep quite quickly, so families with small children should take this into consideration.

San Ferdinando is a small seaside town with everything you...

San Ferdinando is a small seaside town with everything you need... from groceries to bars and restaurants, and beach clubs. A quiet village, not very crowded even in August, with beautiful sea and beach umbrellas at a negligible cost (€15 in mid-August). It comes alive during the patron saint festivals, such as that of Saint Barbara, with the parade of giants, bonfires on the beach, and fireworks.

Beautiful sea, close to wonderful places. The town is improving thanks to cultural initiatives and village festivals. Transportation could be a little better, as it's difficult to get to Rosarno or Gioia Tauro without a car.

This hotel has 24/7 desk service, which came in handy when our hotel in Gioia Tauro had the power go out. We booked a room here at 10 pm and were there at 10:30 pm checking in. The owner was amazing and ensured we had a great stay. The hotel is brand new with spacious modern rooms. They also serve a lovely breakfast. We definitely plan on staying here again. This is by far the best hotel in the San Ferdinando, Gioia Tauro region. It is located near a market and a gelateria and is a short walk to the beach.
