The friendliness of the "Buonasera" from Massimo when we arrived, made us feel "at home" straight away. The Casa was easy to find. clean, welcoming and beyond our expectations. Massimo made us fresh coffee upon arrival and told us about the history of the house and the surrounding area. where the best Valpolicella was made and he confirmed that the restaurant we had booked for that evening was one of the best in the area (and it was fantastic). In the morning we were greeted by Massimo and his wife Laura - the breakfast table was laid out with home made Bread, Jams, Cakes, Focaccia and Tiramisu. Laura was happy to let us have the recipes which we have already tried out. A wonderful stay with such wonderful hosts. As we all said when we left "Arrivederci" and yes we will return. The location is amazing on top of a small hill with a pleasant restaurant. We had a young lady as our host, she was very kind and helpfull. The beds were good, the rooms clean, good breakfast. I would reccomend this place to everyone and will surely come back!

It is a perfect place to stay! Host is extremely nice and they are very pet friendly! We have 3 dogs so we need more of those places in the world. The rooms are large and comfy as well. Breakfast is also very nice. We will definitely come back again this year!!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. We loved the concept with the honesty bar with their excellent wines and soft drinks as well as free water dispenser and coffee. No 24h reception but everything is take care of. It gives you the feeling of staying at friends or family. Everything is nicely decorated on the style of a traditional countryside house. The views when you open the windows are stunning and the restaurant was excellent too!

If you're staying here to commute into Verona, don't.

If you're staying here to commute into Verona, don't. The bus systems aren't very reliable and you can't stay too long in the city or else you miss the last bus that leaves early in the night. I had multiple experiences standing and waiting at bus stops in 95-degree heat for busses that were running late and it was miserable. San Pietro in Cariano is a beautiful little town but there isn't much there and not many people speak a language outside of Italian as it is not a tourist spot and such a small town. There are a few restaurants in town, but the language barrier is difficult and often I would just prefer to wait and eat down in Verona as it was easier. The commute by bus into town is about 30-40 minutes and there is no working AC on the bus so you are either standing or sitting in your own sweat for that entire time. I would have rather spent the money and stayed in the city, but the place I stayed in San Pietro in Cariano was lovely and I have no complaints about that, I just chose the wrong location.

The hotel is beautiful and rustic with a fabulous view of the vineyards. We had an amazing tour of the winery with Fabio. What a great guy, so passionate about his job. We had an amazing dinner overlooking the vineyard, a truly special experience with great service, great food, wine, particularly the Amarone classico 2019. Great breakfast arrangement with wonderful ladies serving us.

Wasn't expecting much, just a one night stay between other locations however the man on reception was so friendly and helpful, he made all the difference. Tired and dated hotel OK for a quick stopover, but wouldn't want to stay more than a couple of days.
