Everything was truly satisfying. All of the hosts were always kind, responded sincerely and promptly to my many questions, and did their best to ensure the comfort of the guests. They even prepared breakfast earlier than usual for me because I had to check out early. Due to the nature of my work, I have stayed at many accommodations, but none have made me feel as warm and welcomed as this place. That’s why, for the first time, I am leaving a review. Staying in this charming family owned hotel was definitely the highlight of my 3 weeks in Sicily! The family who run the hotel was really helpful and gave me good tips what to do on the island, they made me feel very comfortable, they even let me stay one extra night after closing the hotel. My room was really clean, nicely decorated and had a stunning seaview with views to Filicudi Alicudi. From the terazza you could enjoy the sunset every evening while sipping your aperitivo. Breakfast was great and filling. Pollara as a location is a really small place with not much services (I think my hotel was the only one operating there during my stay and it was closing as well for the winter). I was also travelling during the low season, so I don't how it is during the hight season. But I didn't really mind the lack of services because this kind of peaceful and authentic place away from tourist massed was something I was looking for. Also there was amazing restaurant at the hotel that was visited by people from other parts of the island as well, so I was not left hungry! Also there's minibus going quite frequently to other villages on the island where there are supermarket, some restaurants and farmacy etc. but renting a moped or a car would definitely give you more freedom. Famous and beautiful pollara beach is at 15 min walking distance. All in all I enjoyed a lot and left the place with wistful feelings. Grazie mille!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful - from the gardens, to the interior design, and the spectacular views from the room, the pool, and the rooftop bar. The staff is so lovely, kind, and helpful. They always greeted us with a smile and were ready to help with anything we needed. We also really enjoyed the delicious lunches on their airy terrace. The paninis and salads are fresh and delicious! We felt right at home and very lucky that we could spend our holiday here. This is a true gem!

Salina is one of the most beautiful Aeolian Islands.

Salina is one of the most beautiful Aeolian Islands. It is well reputed for Malvasia wine and capers. The scenery is fantastic and the island offers good possibilities for a nice holiday. There are good walking opportunities, a reliable bus service, great cafes and restaurants and some nice shops.

It’s simply wonderful - just the right balance of leisure, shops, restaurants, not too overcrowded (early September) so strolling around is very pleasant. Lots of trips and activities, friendly people. This is my second visit and I would highly recommend it

Wonderful.

Wonderful. The most convenient area because it has everything, especially if you don't have a car. A delightful little village, and Salina is very well served by public transport, so you can get everywhere! My favorite island since this stay.

A very green island with plenty of opportunities for beach...

A very green island with plenty of opportunities for beach and hiking, unfortunately when we were there the weather didn't allow us to plan the excursion to Filicudi and Alicudi, which are easily reached from Salina.

An excellent base for visiting all the Aeolian Islands. A boat tour around the island is highly recommended, with swimming in the most picturesque coves. Lingua, just 3 km from Santa Marina, is worth a visit, with granita at Alfredo. For an excellent dinner in a panoramic location, try Cucinotta.

Lovely hotel situated above the beach. The premises are tastefully furnished with beautiful places to sit and overlook the sea. The location of the hotel is excellent - not too far from the ferry and near the pedestrian area with shops an restaurants. The owner Angela was very friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of information about Salina, for example very good hiking maps. We had a great time and hope to come back one day.

It was early season, so the only ones hiring accommodation in that spot; therefore we had the terraces and the beach to ourselves, making the experience even better. Great sport where the kids can play & swim and the parents relax on the sun terrace. The warm welcome by the host, Marco, was a great start of several relaxing days on Salina

Very good location, and nicely styled room. We booked last minute due to a ferry cancellation and the staff could not be kinder or more helpful. The restaurant, which is part of the hotel, is excellent - our favourite on the island.
