The old part of the city of Sarzana was a positive surprise with its castle, churches, many small restaurants, and the narrow streets with their boutiques. Palazzo Lari was just one more positive note: central location, beautiful room (with a living room), and Raffaella's warm welcome. Of course, you must put up with a staircase (no lift). However, this is part of the charm of living in an old palace. For this reason, try to limit the weight of your baggage! There is no access for motorcars, but the private parking lot is only five minutes away, and the walk is a good way of discovering Sarzana.

Sarzana is an interesting, beautiful old town strategically positioned between the Liguria cities and beaches, and the Lunigiana. From there there is lots to explore, and a lot to enjoy in the town itself. Especially in the summer (Ma-August) for the cultural events organized by Angelo Tonelli for the series called "MYTHOS-LOGOS". Cinque terre very close by, and Lerici, Tellaro, Amelia, Pietrasanta, Massa and Carrara. If you drive, make Sarzana your home for a week and enjoy the surroundings!

Very friendly host of an accommodation in a central part of Sarzana. Room and amenities were very comfortable with additional luxuries for us backpackers of dressing gowns, coffee and tea maker and comfortable bed. Would recommend

Excellent location, and nice apartment. Clean and well organized. You are right downtown Sarzana, on the main piazza! And the car parkade at Porta Piacenza is just steps away. Be prepared to climb some stairs (keeps you fit)!

Lovely place. Great couple who helped when we asked. Everything we needed: kitchen utensils, cleaning materials etc. was there. Everything was clean. The centre of Sarzana is a 1 minute walk away.
