The hostess was very welcoming and helpfup. The hotel is perfectly situated after the entrance gates to Volterra and just a short walk up to the main square. The breakfast was a beautiful experience. The hostess ensured we had our own private family table. The food was fresh with many options and coffee to our liking. The decor and rooms have beautiful old century touches with modern amenities (nice bathroom and shower). Beds were huge and fit a family of 4 comfortably. Our taxi was arranged seamlessly on a Sunday as we had no options for public transportation.

We have stayed at this accommodation 3 times. It is great. The owners are very nice and friendly. They are very helpful with ideas for exploring the area. The accommodation is comfortable, has a beautiful garden, a well-kept pool, but the absolute best of all is the breakfast. The best cakes and cappuccino we have ever had. Amazing place.

The breakfast was outstanding, offering a lot of options. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Cleanliness is perfect, and the facilities are in very good condition. A kettle kit with tea bags and coffee is available upon request. A very special experience is the restaurant da Pode, which is located on the hotel grounds, belongs to the family, and is mentioned in the Michelin catalog. The restaurant serves excellent Italian dishes; we had dinner twice, both times it was outstanding. The Steak Tartare is prepared by Sergio tableside, making it a unique performance (although we did not order it). Tenuta Sovestro, a winery next to the hotel and another business managed by the same family, has very interesting local-style wines and offers personalized tastings. Shuttle to San Gimignano is also a very good option to visit the city.

Great place for a visit in Volterra. We had such warm days so the pool area was nice to have. Maybe some more furniture could be added to the outdoor area, otherwise nice hotel, and really friendly and helpful staff!

This beautiful old hotel was in the heart of San Gimignano, a bustling square on one side & stunning views over the terracotta rooftops to picturesque countryside on the other. Very clean & comfortable & very helpful front desk staff who sorted out our heating issues immediately. We would love to come back & stay.
