The communication with the hostess was great and everything went smoothly with the self checking in. The views were spectacular at the property and Dagmar had left us some afternoon tea for when we arrived which was much appreciated. Kitchen was fully equipped and there is a small supermarket not far from the house although it is down the mountain so best shop before driving up to the house. Beds were ok.

The staff were incredible. The Flix bus drops you at the Bolzano Sud station which is no where near the main station and there were no taxis around in the early evening. I could have taken the train to the next station, but was unfamiliar with the metro system so when I called the hotel, they called me a taxi. That was just the beginnng of a great experience that included allowing me a late check out with no charge due to a rainy day departure. Breakfast was really good, the building is so interesting architecturally and very well decorated, and the location is great.

Probably the best hotel I've experienced. The aesthetic, quality of decor and fittings, cleanliness, upkeep are immaculate. Comfortable like home. The location next to a bubbling river, surrounded by forested hills, is refreshing. The breakfasts are brilliant, and the dinners are out of this world (though prepare to pay). The staff are on the ball, friendly, and professional.

We stayed two nights at the Magdalener Hof Hotel in December 2022 and I wish we stayed longer! The breakfast was extremely tasty with a great variety of food, including delicious cheese, fruits, ham and cakes. All waiters were super friendly and trilinguals so that they could easily speak with all guests. We had a room with mountain view which was very romantic :). The mattress was also very comfortable and we slept very deeply. A big plus was the gym: spacious, clean, well-equipped and modern! The receptionists were very helpful when we asked for activities to do or recommendations.
