What a beautiful place! We didn't know what to expect, the photos in the listing looked great but it seemed like a new listing.... When we arrived we were absolutely surprised by the beauty of the small (very small!!) town and the high quality and attention to detail of the apartment! Everything was perfectly placed, perfectly beautiful and functional too. The small town has 13 inhabitants! And it's in absolutely pristine shape! We felt as if in the middle ages but with all modern comfort and convenience! Wow! Also the views from all windows are amazing! Umbria at its best! And the best of the best was the view from the master bedroom: a close up of an authentic medieval tower! Really, this was unbelievable! The suite is super modern, super comfortable. The air conditioning works perfectly, actually everything works perfectly and it's super clean. We felt at home and didn't want to leave. Unfortunately there were other reservations.... But we are definitely coming back. Barbara and Mauricio are very friendly, real, helpful people. They welcomed us with their hearts. Thank you, thank you!!!!

A wonderful apartment and wonderful hosts! Everything was sparkling new and clean. The apartment is on two levels with kitchen, dining and couch on the first level and bedroom and bathroom on the second. A lot of care has been taken by the hosts to provide a lovely, warm and welcoming space. It is possible to self-cater but we eat out. We were walking the via di San Francesco when we stayed here.

House is very specious and well equipped for your needs & comfortable stay. Location in peaceful and quiet safe residential area with private parking provided with. We could consume the water from their garden to rinse and clean our car which was a positive experience, and we are grateful for them. Owner couple live on the ground floor. They are very attentive and friendly yet never been intrusive. We left the place happily without knowing what we had left behind. The lady contacted us that they found our tablet in the house and offered us to send it to our home abroad immediately. Luckily for us, we had managed to pick it up in the following week from the house itself though. Her concern for us and gesture to offer us the solution immediately was beyond our imagination. Highly recommended.

Valfabbrica is a truly peaceful and pleasant village. There's not much going on in the evenings. It's in a truly ideal location for quickly reaching Assisi, Perugia, Gualdo Tadino, or Gubbio...a truly strategic location.

I can only review our room, and it was nothing like what we...

I can only review our room, and it was nothing like what we booked. It was full of cobwebs, saltpeter, and the bathroom looked like it belonged in the last century. The staff and the chef, on the other hand, were very good. Despite our limited language skills, we managed to communicate quite well. However, the hotel management is unscrupulous.

The view is splendid.

The view is splendid. The surrounding villages and towns are delightful to visit and, above all, rich in history and works of art (you'll be spoiled for choice). There's no shortage of trails and itineraries for those who love walking. Getting around by car is easy, and the local restaurants are also very good. We highly recommend a visit.

The accommodation is not located in Valfabbrica itself, but about a 15-minute drive away. We ate at the accommodation once, and another time at a pizzeria in Valfabbrica that didn't have a toilet.

Valfabbrica is a small romantic village with a nice atmosphere, and staying in this hostel was a very good option for my pilgrimage on the Via di Francesco. Very close is a shop, a few bars, and restaurants. For one night on the camino, there couldn´t be a better option. The heating in the room was also sufficient.

The beautiful "Old chestnut", which is what the name of this accommodation means in Italian. The pool was really great, the view of Valfabbrica magnificent and the tranquility really present. As a family of five, we really enjoyed our stay in Umbria also thanks to this unique accommodation!

One one best hotel experience! Comfortable hotel in the ancient castle with it's own tower and dear running around! Rooms are not very big, but it would be too much to ask for that - they are nicely decorated (or preserved). Just wow!
