If you want to step back in time with a relaxing atmosphere, this place is for you , as long as you don't expect a five-star experience, the views are a 10 , the building is rustic with its old charm . The rooms are large with beautiful views from the windows , the beds could do with an upgrade but it's better not to be too fussy as the Tuscan hills and the views make up for the sleeping conditions. We really loved the service from the staff , especially Silvia working in the morning , Thank you, Silvia .we highly recommend staying in Patina Hotel , for the best time in Italy 🇮🇹. Thank you to all the staff , you were amazing and made us feel at home . Grazie mille ❤️

The place was incredible, super clean in the middle of the mountains the view was insane to say the least, the parking is private which is a top and honestly 10/10 the house isnt modern or anything super pretty and cozy, and the guy there waited for us to arrive and was very respectful Nothing bad to say totally worth and was cheap on top of all of this!

The location was great but you would need to hire a car, although there is a bus stop not far from the entrance. The ambience was tranquil and peaceful with beautiful views. I didn't try the pool but it looked great. The food was superb and the staff and Manager Manuela were so warm, helpful and welcoming.

This property was absolutely stunning. We had a lovely, clean room, the grounds were gorgeous and the staff were so friendly, made us feel so welcome and cooked us a family-style meal which was absolutely delicious! As a fussy eater myself, I was totally impressed with the quality of the food and felt very satisfied by the end of the meal. It was raining a bit when we arrived so we didn't get to use the facilities properly but we had a walk round and the grounds were gorgeous with so many lovely seating areas and a nice big pool. We also had breakfast the next morning which was equally as delicious as the meal; a breakfast buffet was laid out with plenty of choice! We really didn't want to leave this place and would 100% stay again if we were in this area of Italy again. Highly recommend this property, thank you so much for the amazing service!

I can't directly answer about this room - we were given a free upgrade to a large bungalow! We are very happy with it, large place, clean, functional. Just sad we didn't have the time to try the swimming pool (it was probably still not season for it anyway)

We were given a very warm welcome by the host, Niccolo. The property is beautiful, located within olive orchards. The gardens, pool and tennis court are very well maintained and the apartment was spacious, well equipped and very clean.

The guided tour of the experimental arboretums was very...

The guided tour of the experimental arboretums was very interesting, as was the Giants' Path in the surrounding forest, an easy walk that allowed us to admire the two tallest trees in Italy, true arboreal monuments. However, we were unable to visit the abbey, which is accessible with guided tours only a few days a week.

The place is very cool, full of woods.

The place is very cool, full of woods. Unfortunately, it feels like an abandoned town...there are no shops or businesses, just lots of hotels, most of which are closed...and just a few restaurants, which are quite expensive!

There are plenty of trails, but they're poorly maintained.

There are plenty of trails, but they're poorly maintained. Few signs, fallen trees and branches everywhere. I even wrote to the Municipality of Reggello about this, because that forest is a true treasure, but it needs to be made more easily accessible and manageable for hiking guests.

Stunning forests with various trails for nature lovers. A quiet corner opposite the Abbey, offering year-round visits and the opportunity to tour the experimental plantings, accompanied by forest rangers (but again only during the summer).

Spectacular nature, a very beautiful and interesting abbey.

Spectacular nature, a very beautiful and interesting abbey. Very welcoming monks. I found the trail signage slightly lacking. I didn't find an information point where I could buy trail maps, but perhaps there was one somewhere I just missed.

Vallombrosa has an exceptionally pleasant climate for summer...

Vallombrosa has an exceptionally pleasant climate for summer: the clientele is noticeably predominantly older. They explained to us that Florentines, those who can afford it, bring their parents and in-laws to spend the hottest summer months in a beautiful, cool location not far from the city.
