A City to Fall in Love With

Renowned for its romantic charm, the entire city of Venice is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spread across 118 islands, formed by 177 canals and connected by 409 bridges this city is truly magnificent.

Its breath-taking architecture and spectacular art entice millions to experience its history and beauty every year. From San Marco Square with the Doge’s Palace to the lively Jewish Ghetto, Venice can be both opulent and down to earth.

Visit the Rialto Market and the charming Rialto Bridge and then take a gondola ride through the canals before learning how Venetian and Murano glass is made. The city’s churches, piazzas and museums are all worth a visit and can be easily reached within a short walk.

The Venetian Carnival is an unforgettable experience, with or without a mask. The latest trends in modern art are on display at the Venice Biennale and Italy's cinema take center stage at the world’s oldest Film Festival.

Buses and boats run from Marco Polo International Airport and Treviso Airport to the city centre. From luxury hotels, to comfortable B&B, to self-catered apartments, Booking.com has great accommodations for your Venice trip.

Everybody knows what Venice is all about.

Everybody knows what Venice is all about. It is everything you've heard about it. It's magical and beautiful. The only thing you need to know is DO NOT go in the summer unless you enjoy miserable heat and maddening crowds. I went in the fall. There is one restaurant I have to recommend. Go to Trattoria Bar Pontini. Their Spaghetti alla Scoglio is the best thing I've ever eaten. I thought I was in heaven!

It's very peaceful travelling on boats instead of buses and trains. The canals and bridges look so beautiful in all weathers. In my opinion, Venice is a must see place. Visit some of the smaller galleries and go to the travelling opera experience in the Palazzo Barbarigo-Minotto.

I love wondering through all the walk ways, it's a maze of all kinds of fun finds. Great eateries everywhere. so many great shops. museums, art, culture, food, wine! December was a great time to visit with no crowds. I would not want to visit May - September, to many people. We took the water bus (vaporetti) everywhere, and walked a lot. Went to Lido one sunny day and took a long walk by the sea, it's an easy vaporetti trip away. I recommend booking a food tour on your first day visiting to get great suggestions on where to eat. Also recommend getting the vaporetti pass for your length of stay, it made it so easy to jump on and off.

There's so much to see and do, and best of all - doing nothing! In the area immediately surrounding the hotel there are many excellent and not over priced restaurants. I would recommend exploring down the streets behind the front. There's so much going on. Also, try and find the Library Agua Alta. Incredible bookshop We were'not going to go on a gondola, thinking it too touristy, but our trip with Nick was both magical and informative. I have a little restricted mobility, but was helped on and off in a way that made me feel very safe, and also that it was no trouble

I travel a lot, but it was my first time in Venice.

I travel a lot, but it was my first time in Venice. To say I was impressed is not enough, it was a positive shock! The city is simply amazing, and it is absolutely special, unique. Now I want to come again and again. All districts have their special atmosphere, it is possible to walk around the town during one day - but I would say that every part of Venice deserves a special excursion, so do not hurry too much. It is walkable, but if you want, the water transport is very convenient, and if you need to cross Grand Canal, you can use tragetto (gondola-ferry) in several points of the town. Every house turns out to be a palace. History is everywhere. Every church is more than just a church, it is a museum. More than 400 bridges. More than 100 canals. Come to see it, it is unforgettable.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station and right outside the hotel you’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants. During our trip to Italy, we stayed at four different hotels, and by far the staff at Hotel Guerrini were the friendliest and most accommodating we’ve ever met. They were very flexible and kindly allowed us to leave our bags after we check-out, so we could explore while waiting for our train. We also appreciated their reasonably priced drinks - the best value we found in Venice.

This must be one of the best hotels in Venice. Even though part of a large hotel chain, it still has the small family hotel atmosphere. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble with staff going beyond their call of duty. The position of the hotel must be the best in Venice, literally on the Grand Canal opposite a beautiful church Santa Maria della Salute and only minutes away from St Mark's Square. yet still peaceful away from the crowds.

The location of the hotel is just superb! You are in the very heart of Venice. The breakfast is rich and tasty - we liked very much they were offering traditional things like ham, scrambled eggs, saussages and salad, not only sweet pastries like it's ussual in Italy.
