The indoor beauty complements the outdoor beauty of the house. Everything is pleasing to the eyes and inviting, there is a great kitchen to cook meals and a large table to enjoy them, as well as outdoor sitting spaces. The bathrooms are stylish and the excellent local art pieces on the wall make the place homey. William, the owner, can tell you anything you want to know about the place and the surroundings, and Nicole who lives in the community up the hill is a great help. Stay a few nights, relax to the sounds of Hope River which flows below, hike up the road to a few waterfalls, book a table at the Pretty Close Ital restaurant nearby, and visit the art center at Papine.

Bobby is the kindest person we've ever met. The fresh brewed blue mountain coffee and the tea made with herbs he took from his garden were like a cherry on a top of cake given to our breakfast. Even the hardest part of the road was ok with Bobbies help 👌We get his direction and with our rented car of bad quality (no clearance, no 4x4, brakes so so) with 3 big duffel bags (21 kg each) we reached the guesthouse (going back Bobby helped us with bags - took them to his car to get our car a little higher and we followed him to avoid biggest potholes on the steep road up). The road B1 is a normal mountain paved road reachable for each car. But the second part, which is only 2.5 km, was really stressful: is paved but very steep and full of gaps, potholes and sharp turns. Going down is ok, because you don't know what to expect:) Going back with a car without high clearance is a challenge but reachable. The place was completely hidden with great views and much cooler than the city. Our room was clean and normal, nothing more you should expect in mountain hut. People in the neighborhood were also very polite (it is always so in mountain). There is also a small waterfall in 10 minutes walk where you can refresh in cold water. Bobby and Deana help to organize tours and hikes with local guides. We took Shugarloaf hike with a very nice couple - picnic under waterfall and many talks about surroundings.

I really enjoyed the beauty of the hills, location and the apartment. I am glad that i made the trip become a reality because i needed a reset and to be grounded back to nature. The property is easy to find, and everything is just as decribed. I am really impressed with the warm welcome of snacks and beverages, and the house is equipped with everything you need. ( no need to walk with your own kitchen😃) What started out as a 1 night became 2 nights upon checking in. The weather is magnificent, fresh air and surrounded by greanry, stillness, cool and luscious mountains. This is definitely a place anyone would love and enjoy staying at. It has been added to my iternerary as a place I will keep returning to. Charmaine is polite, welcoming, and hands-on if you need help! If i could take home the weather, and a piece of this home, id take it all. It rained while staying, which added an even perfect touch to my relaxation! Dont pass up on this airbnb.. just reserve it once you see it as available.

Check-in with the housekeeper was swift and easy. We had use of the whole living and kitchen area plus our bedroom and bathroom. The outside terrace is fabulous with incredible views down towards Kingston. Breakfast is cooked on site by the housekeeper - we stayed three nights and had three different traditional Jamaican breakfasts. All superb.

The Jackson family and everyone working at the guest house were really friendly and welcoming. It was such a treat to have lovely homecooked meals and Sandra took into account all our dietary needs. This is the perfect place to do the Blue Mountain Peak hike, which was stunning. The beds were super comfy!
