Hotel Il Palazzo instantly won the hearts of my whole family. The buffet meals, served from 11 AM to 9 PM, offered a great selection and were absolutely delicious, with impeccable service throughout. Given the price, it’s an amazing bargain for the quality and service provided. The hotel is incredibly stylish and artistic, with beautiful details, vibrant colors, and thoughtful design—everything from the round-shaped lamp at room level to the chocolate box, coffee bag, and coaster was perfectly designed and crafted. The bathroom is great, with a bathtub, and the sliding door between the room hallway and bedroom serves as a perfect divider for added privacy. It felt like staying in an art museum, which truly elevated the experience. The location is great, tucked away in a quiet alley yet right in the heart of a bustling area. I’ll definitely come back—this is the only place I would stay in Fukuoka in the future. Highly recommend!

Unlike the Miyako in Kyoto, this 208-room property is not associated with Westin/Marriott. The hotel is relatively new, around four years old when writing this. We picked the Miyako Hotel Hakata for its excellent location right adjacent to the Hakata train station. The reception is on the third floor. The staff is friendly and professional, and the rooms are excellent - very spacious and bright. Fully equipped with any amenities you might need and with fantastic beds and pillows. The lights, curtains and drapes are controlled by a tablet on a bedside table. The hotel features a lovely outdoor pool on the top floor amd also has a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We tried the ten course dinner and it was very good. When in Fukuoka we will pick the Miyako again. One of the top hotels we have stayed at during our many hotel nights in Japan. The sushi restaurant and the bar in the roof are very good . All the staffs were super friendly . The temperature was really cold for two days and they passed out hot packs for guests on their way out.

Quality of the food shopping court next to the station was exceptionally high. Great bakery and patisserie produced on site, terrific ready-made meals available in the supermarket-come-deli store. Great ambience around the station - when I was there live performances were laid on alongside the Christmas market. The commercial area is attractive - but that was about it! I didn't get to see the beach as it was 30 minutes away by bus and getting information was quite difficult. Most important signs are only in Korean making the city difficult to navigate. I would not return there myself as I didn't feel there was much to see.

The location of our hotel was four minutes away from the Hakata train station. There are many things to see and do there to keep you excited. The people were nice and I enjoyed the pace of the city.

Fukuoka is a great vacation location.

Fukuoka is a great vacation location. The pace is not as frantic as Tokyo or Osaka. It has its own character and charm. Nearby are day trips to other great locations like Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Takachiho, Saga City, etc. It is great for family as well. Locations like Lalaport and Canal City are attractions for mall strolling, shopping, and food. Food is great with the yatais and of course ramen.

Fukouoka is like a mini Tokyo without being overloaded with Tourists. It has great restaurants, bars and nightlife and the cultural quiet spots eg temples are superb set alongside very modern shopping and tech visits eg the Tower. It is also an ideal base for day trips which there are many to choose from and don't forget the beach. visit soon before everyone finds out its charm and attraction.

I spent most of time visiting other parts of Kyushu ie Saga Prefecture, Kumomoto Prefecture and Kagoshima, Munakata and Oshima Island. For my next trip will spend more time in Fukuoka. I took a bus tour to have a view of the city. The first half was interesting, going over the famous bridge and seeing the waterfront. But the second half was boring. Just looking at traffic.

Fukuoka is definitely a gem for travellers - from city area to country sides. Locals are friendly and the attractions I visited were wholesome and eye opening. The food especially ramen was good. Transportation-wise, it is fairly easy to navigate around Fukuoka, we have the bus / train / JRs / even walking. It is recommended to adjust your pace for your travelling schedule to avoid being burnout - You will walk a lot during your trip.

This hotel is near 5th exit of Gion station of Fukuoka City Subway, also can walk in 10 minutes from Hakata station! The staff of the reception desk is politely to travelers, and you can store luggage by just fill in online forms, remember to preserve screenshot of your QR code! Finally, the accommodation is very comfortable and clean, and the TV also provide informations of this hotel ,I experience a well day here!

We hv connecting rooms, the room is spacious, clean and water heater work well, short walking distance to Hakata station and Tenjin area and about 15minutes walking distance to Hakata Canal City, the rooms came with 2 bottles drinking water this is very unusual during our stay in Fukuoka usually rooms do not provide drinking water. Nearby the hotel have Lawson, drugs stall and local supermarkets.

The location of the hotel is excellent. There is a train station 5 mins from the hotel which brings you to the other attractions within Fukuoka City. Tenjin underground shopping mall is only 5 mins walk from the hotel and from there, you can easily go to the other departmental stores. The room was big and clean and the bathroom facilities were complete.

Stayed here for 2 nights. A renovated hotel that looked trendy and modern. Location is excellent as the airport subway is just beside the hotel. Easy access to Hakata and Tenjin. Lots of eateries nearby as well. Walkable distance to street food by the river side. If you love to have a drink, the lounge is a good place to hang around
