-Incredible staff who really come out of their way to help you out with anything -Fantastic mix of classic Japanese-style hotel room and a public area + a bar downstairs to meet other people or to just read a book -Location is also as perfect as it can get, 10 metres from the shuttle stop and the bus terminal, walking distance from Happo-One and Happo ”downtown”, 100 metres from the convenience store Our extempore trip to Hakuba would have not been the same without staying here, special thanks to Tony, Peter and everyone else whose names I forgot. Will be back!

The staff at House of Finn Juhl were amazing! I booked these rooms for my family trip, Yuka helped me plan dinners for our large group before we arrived and then upon arrival was even more amazing. The rooms were spacious and the furniture was beautiful. They helped arrange our Takyubin to the next location for our luggage. They provided amazing snacks and great breakfasts, it was wonderful!

Lovely lodge at an incredible location only a few minutes drive from Happo ski resort, with a delicious restaurant and amazing onsen on-site. This family-run business really looks after you and are extremely accommodative with requests. We loved our stay here and can’t wait to return!

Perfect cosy hotel for a ski trip. Staff are very friendly and helpful - especially the front desk lady, Junko! Shuttles to and back from the ski slopes can be arranged if requested in advance and if sufficient ppl are heading in the same direction. if not it’s only a short walk to escal plaza where there’s a free public shuttle to the neighbouring ski resorts. There’s an outdoor onsen but make sure you remember to book it - it’s 1000yen for 30min slots. you can also rent your ski gear/ equipment, and buy discounted ski passes at the hotel

Anise Gardens is well located for access to the Shionomichi trail. All 4 of us are 70+, so we’re not so keen on long multi-day treks. However, by staying several days in one place, we were able to use train into & out of Hakuba and wait for THE best day to take the gondola & chairlifts up to the Mountain where we walked in fresh snow & saw Happo-Ike reflections at their very best.

It’s a city with good weather, not too crowded, surrounded...

It’s a city with good weather, not too crowded, surrounded by mountains, and offers plenty of activities. There’s an AEON mall, and food is easy to find. It’s perfect for those who enjoy skiing and snow.

The location was great with great scenery.

The location was great with great scenery. Ten minutes walk through snow trails to Happoone ski lift. Ten minutes walk to village for rentals & restaurants (Ooyokuri restaurant*****)! The staff was excellent and accommodating of late evening arrival. Inside & outside onsens were very good. Breakfast was great with selection & taste. Twelve (7adults, 1teen, 5children) give it a big thumbs up! It was end of season, so shops and restaurants were closed, snow was a bit slushy for me, good for kids. Plus side few people, no congestion or lines.

This is a fantastic ski resort. We love Goryu and Iimori.

This is a fantastic ski resort. We love Goryu and Iimori. There are several options for skiers and snowboarders of different abilities. The ski school is excellent. It is not too busy, and there is little to no queue for ski lifts. We are coming back.

For lovers of powder skiing, this is as good as it gets...

For lovers of powder skiing, this is as good as it gets because of the reliable snowfall. The transport to this location is also very convenient--just a HSR from Tokyo and direct bus ride and you are set.

Great place to experience fabulous skiing in Japan. Happo one was a great choice to have easy access to all the neighbouring resorts and using shuttle buses with our valley ski passes. We will be back.

This was a great choice for a family ski holiday. The location is convenient- the shuttle to Goryu and Hakuba 47 is out front, rhe shuttles to the rest of the hills only 5 minutes walk away, close to Echoland and in a quiet setting. Cottages are spacious and bright. The night taxi stop is only 5 minutes walk at Cherry Pub.

The chair lift at Sakru 2 is just 30 away from the hotel. It is rather convenient to access Happo one. However you would need to buy the ski ticket in advance at the ticket office because the chair lift station did not provide sales of ski passes. Use the short cut via Petit hotel shitaka for faster access to chair lift.

One of the most comfy beds and duvets I experienced in Japan. Charming property and lounge/breakfast area. Near happo one gondolas (slightly above them) and you can ski directly to the hotel. Close to ski rentals, bars and restaurants. Lovely helpful staff. Water in rooms was great. It was warm with the heaters.

5 minute walk to echo land for meals but in quiet location kids could play in the snow right outside our hotel which they did for hours! The owner was incredibly helpful and drove us to collect our ski equipment and to and from happo one bus terminal. Very friendly and kind staff
