The staff at night that checked us in knew zero english, although after some back and forth we were able to get it done. The over all facility was amazing, i wish i could keep it a secret because of how nice it is but i cant help but share. We had the room with the dry sauna and it was amazing, we used it every knight we were there. I hope to visit Y-Hotel on my next visit. Only complaint is that we didnt have enough nights im Hiroshima, next time we’ll make sure to stay longer.

Hiroshima is a place of historical significance, the symbolism of what happened there and how the present seems to be repeating it. It’s amazing how the city emerged from the tragedy, very modern transformation.

There is so much to learn in this historic city - I would recommend a guided tour to hear about the history of WW II and the drop of the atomic bomb; and how the city currently focuses on peace. In addition to the bomb site there are so many beautiful parks and other attractions to visit.

We spent an afternoon in the Peace Park and had a guided tour, followed by a visit to the Memorial Museum. We went into the Museum at 4pm hoping the crowds would have died down, but it was still very busy, so I'd recommend booking in advance a slot as late as possible. The following day we caught the ferry to Miyajima island and spent a whole day there, going on the Ropeway up Mt Misen and visiting the floating Torii gate. It's such a peaceful and beautiful island with free roaming deer! We used the tram (or streetcar as they call it) to get around which was handy.

A compact city that is easily walked.

A compact city that is easily walked. Not that much to see, but a quieter pace of life. Excellent parks and Art museum. We came to see the memorial and the dome, of course, but in fact Tokyo lost more than 100,000 lives in the firebombing during WW2 in just one night.

I loved touring Hiroshima Castle and the Peace Memorial Museum. The history is very rich and enlightening. If I had more time, I would have looked for other things to do in Hiroshima and tried more of the cuisine.

Excellent hotel, good value for money, located right on the river (make sure to request a room with a river view). Room was a good size, bathroom was small and compact, as is standard for most Japanese hotel rooms. The location was quiet, but walking distance to cool areas such as Hondori and Hotchobori, and tourist attractions including Peach Memorial Park. The tram stop a few minutes away takes you straight to Hiroshima Station. Highly recommended.

Great location near Peace Park and a lot of restaurants. Easy enough to get to from Hiroshima station. Staff were incredible, spoke good English and were willing to help us forward our luggage to the next city (and receive it early from the previous hotel). Great little coffee stand on the ground floor, a coin laundry available comfortable room overall. Shower & toilet were next level.

A lovely hotel with a great twin toom with tatami floor. The water in the shower were wonderful. The location is really close to the Peace Park, and a resonable walking ddistance from Hiroshima Castle and shopping street. You get free amenities like shower cloth, razor etc. There is also a small onsen.

The hotel was easy to find, about 30mins walk from Hiroshima train station. The staff were good, there is an area at reception where they hold your bags. The room was big for a Japanese hotel room. We'll set out, with comfortable beds. The bathroom was very nice, the shower was big too.
