Takai the owner was sooooo helpful, it made all the difference to my stay in Matsumoto. I loved the book he made describing the different restaurants and what their specialities were. So much love and hard work have gone into making this place special. Takai was patient and answered all of my questions and went out of his way to help me. I am very grateful for his kindness and consideration. Lots of eating and drinking places are only a few minutes away as is the castle. It's also only about 15 minutes walk from the station so even with a suitcase I could walk here.

We were so lucky to have a room with a view of Matsumoto Castle. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Matsumoto train station, Matsumoto Castle, and Nawate shopping street making it great for getting around. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety of food so whether you prefer Western or Japanese style breakfast you should be able to find something. I was also able to enjoy the communal bath facilities and would recommend trying them out.

Great location just next to train and bus station. Lots of shops and eateries around, the staff is super friendly and all is very clean! I extended my stay in Matsumoto and stayed here again! The cabin is very comfortable and spacious. Couldn’t recommend more!

We had a spacious bedroom, with desks and a view to city street and to the mountains. From our room we could also see a Temari ball in the street, which was actually quite nice to look at having some tea while sitting at the room. Location is really great and staff was very kind.
