We stayed here for one night on a bikepacking trip. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, and it was really cool that it was in a shipping container! You also get a free ready-meal with a variety of choices, which was an unexpected bonus!

The host, Toki, was absolutely wonderful. She speaks very little English but we had long conversations with the help of google translate. She is 75 and her family has been living in Iwamura for 23 generations.

Very welcoming and very kind. The place is beautiful and nothing is missing in the accommodation, it has everything you need, even a sauna and an outdoor hot bath. The heating works well in the rooms so we weren’t cold. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. I definitely recommend it

We had a fabulous time staying here. The husband and wife who ran the guest house were very friendly and helpful. The guest house was beautiful and so too was the food. We spent two nights there and could not have been happier. The town of Iwamura is very interesting and very peaceful. I highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay. Unfortunately I stayed only for 3 nights. I wish I could stay longer. House is very spacious and very clean. Also very warm for cold nights. It’s a perfect place for long walks and great for someone who need a break from cities. Not that far from train station or big supermarket (half an hour walk). First of all, great price for what you get - free breakfast included as well. Parking in the price so if you are doing part of the Nakasendo trail this is a great stay - if you have a car. Would supermarket nearby, would stay here again!
