Wow - such an incredible place to stay … just stunning and has absolutely everything you need and the most wonderful host! We had the best night’s sleep - the beds were so comfortable, the room was huge for 4 people and the shower had the best pressure!!! We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back - the area is absolutely stunning!

The traditional breakfast was awesome with local products and super tasty. The two showers were a nice touch. The bed was comfortable (especially super comfy comforter). The view was great. We came by car so I don't know about access otherwise.

Amazing guesthouse! Very Japanese style countryside guesthouse. Very delicious traditional Japanese home-style dinner and breakfast. If you wanna visit Koyasan but do not want to live in the temple, definitely a perfect choice! The host is very kind and offer free pick-up service from hashimoto station and drop-off service in the morning at Koyasan. He knows very well about the history and the tour guide of Koyasan. He gives me a very detailed introduction to Koyasan and helps me to drop off luggage in the station as well.

We loved the attention to detail, especially the vintage record player with Japanese vinyls and how well stocked the kitchen was (oil, spices, rice, coffee etc. - the best we had in Japan!). Staff was very accommodating. Very spacious, perfect for our group. We had to change the group size due to a mistake of our own and it was very easy to resolve, thank you for that. We had a great time!

What an incredible experience! When travel is your passion you seek more than just a comfy bed and good location, you seek an all incapsulating experience. And you will find that here. The property is culturally significant, boosting traditional Japanese living with a touch of western comforts. It’s set on an old street lined with traditional Japanese house a short stroll or bike ride into town. One of the most incredible aspects of our stay was our host, who was extremely tentative and welcomed us with open arms and shared some of the local eateries for some mouthwatering traditional Japanese cuisine. The area was beutiful with some lovely walks. Great for a relaxing time. The host realy went above and beyond. I don't think there is a walkable shop but the hotel is also a restaurant.
