We had a wonderful stay in Takumisou. The couple who owns this guest house is super nice, they even came to pick us up at the train station. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and with a lovely view, shared bathroom was also very nice and we could use a washing machine as well. We also really enjoyed breakfasts in Takumisou. Kiso is an amazing place in Japan so I highly recommend this guest house while discovering it.

Nice and well-kept traditional establishment. The best experience we had of all the 4 ryokans we stayed in during our trip. Full meals are a must. Meals were fabulous. The hosts and staff speak English and were very helpful throughout our stay. Even offered to dry our gear and shoes after our hike in the rain.

The food (breakfast and dinner) was delicious! Highly recommend to include it during your stay. After dinner, you can relax at the fire place with a drink or look at the stars. The host was really friendly!
