This hotel was terrific for such a budget price, including breakfast. Easy, easy walk from the station, easy walk to lots of restaurants too. Smallish room but had everything we needed, clean & comfortable. Staff were very nice too.

The town is compact and convenient, with almost everything...

The town is compact and convenient, with almost everything you need within easy reach. I always stay in Kitami when visiting clients in Rikubetsu. As a music lover, I'm impressed by the numerous live music venues, both large and small, and the rich and varied music scene in Kitami. It's less than an hour from Memanbetsu Airport and less than an hour from Rikubetsu, so you can easily explore Obihiro, Kushiro, Abashiri, and more from Kitami. If you're heading to Lake Chimikeppu, no matter which route you take, the road is unpaved from partway through, so be prepared. If you manage to do that, you'll have the lake all to yourself, and you'll likely encounter deer along the way.
