The best Japanese breakfast that we have had. Lovely owners. A variety of teas and coffee provided. Good bike storage. Very handy for train to Koyasan. Good bakery opposite. Great yakitori restaurant nearby.

It was such an amazing, unique experience. The monks are most welcoming and accommodating. Ryokan style rooms with futons, which can be a bit hard, as expected (part of the experience). The place looks incredible, still attains so much history and ancient culture within its walls. It was incredible to be a part of that for a bit and attending the ceremonies was the highlight of our stay.

It was a lovely experience. Loved the morning service/meditation. Dinner and breakfast were a great experience. A little on the expensive side by my standards. But no regrets having stayed a night in a Buddhist temple.
