Amazing host! Very kind and responsive. We accidentally left our earbuds in the house and they sent them to us immediately without charge. The location is great, right inside the cultural heritage village. You can see the sea from the first floor too. Would recommend anyone who is visiting Amakusa!

The communication with the staff was great. And she was there when we got there for us. It's a Japanese traditional house, so it may not be all singing and dancing, but it was comfortable, all the facility we wanted was there including parking, and it was very safe area.

The location is incredible! You’re in a small village right by one of the most beautiful beaches in Japan, quiet, untouched by tourism, packed full of traditional houses with ornate roofs, vegetable plots and small shrines. Nearby is another fabulous beach for snorkeling (Myoken-ura) where we saw lots of colourful fish whilst black kites circled above. A truly beautiful area. Kaz’s place is great: huge tatami rooms, a rustic and cool feel to it, and not too modernised which we found fantastic-it felt like we living in an old temple…but warmer and with TV! (A tip for finding the place: it’s easiest to go to the road along the beach first and and go up from there and park nearby!)

If you want to get away from city noise and into a slow and beautiful side of japan, i totally recommend! I traveled alone and it was just amazing. The stuff was so nice and caring, the breakfast was so tasty and also you can enjoy coffee just in the same building! I recommend a car to discover the city but you can also just have nice walks. The bathrooms were so clean and nice. I really loved it!

Best host and people around. Great quality of a house, modernised but still kept in traditional way. We had everything we needed in this small town, good restaurant, coffee and shops with local stuff. Take a ferry to Ushibuka and there are new things to discover.
