The accommodation and the host are exceptional. The accommodation is a traditional and lovely renovated Japanese house in the small village of Ocho. It has a spacious shared living room. The sleeping rooms are Japanese style with Tatami and Futon. We stayed two nights, and the host prepared breakfast and dinner for us which was both very good. The second night we had Okonomiyaki for dinner and ate together with the host. [Note: Dinner is not always available and must be reserved in advanced. There is also a spacious kitchen which we, however, didn't use.] The host is very friendly and takes time for a chat. Although the village is remote it is more than worth a visit. It can frequently be reached by bus from Hiro station which we took at the day of arrival, or by ferry which we took at the day of departure. To get around the islands you can rent brand new electric bicycles at the accommodation. The old town of Mitarai can even be reached on foot within 15min. The village and the islands in general are very quiet. If you don't come with your own car, it's recommended to plan a bit in advance. There is a supermarket in the village. And you can find some restaurants in the old town of Mitarai. However, most do only open on weekends and holidays.

Beautiful surrounding area, great facilities. Staff were very helpful with organizing a place to eat dinner. The breakfast was quite filling to have before a full day of cycling.

This small hotel by the beach was fantastic ! The hosts are extremely nice, and accommodating. The overall hotel is charming, the onsen very beautiful, and the highlight of our stay was the kaiseki diner ! Be careful though: the futon and the western beds are a bit hard.

Everything was super. Great location close to the station, nice public bath, friendly staff, nice and clean rooms. We went biking for 2 days, and there were no problem storing our luggage at the hotel in the meantime.

This is the heart of the city. It stands out and is the first thing you see of Imabari coming from the Shiminami Kaido. The hotel is built some time ago, but the hotel and rooms are still in pristine conditions. First time in Japan I've actually had a room to pace around in and a bathtub where I could lay down vertically in. If you get a room on the higher leveled floors, then you will get s splendid view of the city and maybe of the Shiminami Kaido as well.

I was there for the shimanami Kaido cycling route and Imabari was the end point. The hotel was cyclist friendly as I could wheel my bicycle in the separate entrance and park it there. The hotel was also right next to the JR Imabari Station where the rental shop was. It was really very convenient. The breakfast was decent and I think it was really quite value for money.

Good location, friendly helpful staff, nice room and best shower of our tour. Good sized room and good value for money. Free hot and cold drinks from 2-11pm in lobby. Inside bike storage.
