Beautiful view, lovely staff, one in a life time opportunity. I rented the bathhouse for 50 mins and it was well worth it, high recommend. Bus stop just outside the building. Rent sparklers too! We were able to leave our luggage after check out to explore.

We loved this quiet, sweet, and spacious cottage. Comfortable beds, a good shower, enough space for our luggage, and its proximity to all the sites made it ideal for us. We especially appreciated the Scandanavian-Japanese design with the rustic, wooden interior. We highly recommend this cottage during a visit to Naoshima.

I have no words to describe this couple's hospitality—so warm, so kind, so attentive. I've traveled to many countries and I've never felt this kind of warmth from hosts. They were so attentive to every detail. Thank you for all your kindness; you made us feel right at home. Spacious Japanese house, two bedrooms, one large living room, kitchen and bathroom. Two minutes from the beach, 15 minutes walk from Miyanoura. Owners super friendly and kind. They came at the ferry pier to pick up our luggage , helped us with booking bikes and dinner , and gave us a lift the following day back to the ferry pier.

    The island has some of the best art museums I've visited, not in the amount of art pieces, but the flow, quality and architectural side of them. It is very much needed to book everything in advance, especially the more popular museums and electric bicycles, it is most definitely worth to move around the island like that.

    Bicycling everywhere is my suggestion.

    Bicycling everywhere is my suggestion. What a quaint, kind island with wonderful eating options, gorgeous views and it is a quiet escape from the bustle of the bigger cities in Japan. Highly recommend a few nights on this art island, as this is definitely a highlight of the trip we took to Japan! 10/10

    The art facilities around the island were amazing experience. the ability to rent E-bikes makes getting around a breeze. It feels like a tropical getaway. We found restaurants in town to be rather busy but overall delicious food options were available

    Loved teshima art museum, chichu and the art house projects. Great coffee to be had at mikazikishoten and hifumiyo. The bath house is delightful. Dinner at Perma was amazing and a highlight of my whole Japan trip.

    I love everything about Naoshima, this was my 3rd visit...

    I love everything about Naoshima, this was my 3rd visit there! The town bus makes it very easy to get around. It is getting more popular/busy so it can be necessary to book museum tickets, restaurants and even bikes in advance. A lot of things are closed on a Monday, so plan around that ( a good day to visit other islands). The 24 hour laundromat was a godsend! The nearby islands of Teshima and Inujima are beautiful also 😊
