The house is absolutely spectacular and I recommend brining food and cooking dinner/breakfast there. It was extremely peaceful and great for big groups/families. The host was extremely friendly and checked in on us.

The best stay in Chikatsuyu! It was the first stay on our Kumano Kodo trail, and it was the very good choice. The host was really nice to us and other guests. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable for stay of 2 people. There is everything you need to have a good rest before the next day of hiking trail. The host cooked amazing dinner and breakfast for us - we tried really good Osaka-style okonomiyaki, Japanese curry and a lot of another things. Also he prepared good lunch boxes for the trail.

A very lovely house inside a small village, not too far from the stamp location. The house is clean and cozy with a very beautiful view. The owner is also very friendly and helpful, a very good stop during the Kumano Kodo trip.

The host was so kind and accommodating! I arrived very early and she still allowed me to check in to my room. Despite limited english she made effort to use phone to translate. Bento dinner was lovely. Highly recommend.

Confortable, authentic , spotless. Shino is a wonderful host who takes care of all the details. She is always responsive and helped us find our way in the Kumano Kodo trail. Also her cooking is amazing, make sure you include her meals.

A lovely Minshuku managed by a family for more than 45 years. The owner cook very delicious Japanese meals and gave me 200yen coupon to the near Onsen😄 At dinner time the very nice Obachan spoke with me while cooking the dinner and we had lovely conversation. Recommend for people who like the mountains, Japanese countryside and nature, and hiking the Kumano-kodo.

Market is on the opposite of the hotel. Could easily got food and everything. It’s also very convenient to check in if you read the email they sent you before.
