Great location for hiking round the island, close to the ferry terminal, and close to many of the restaurants. Lovely tatami rooms, staff were very helpful and friendly. A great stay for a very reasonable price.

Great view of Mt Rishiri and a star-studded sky! Room was comfortable and nice, and the bar table facing the window was a nice place to dine at for great views (: Nice onsen too!

I recommend it if you want to fully enjoy nature.

I recommend it if you want to fully enjoy nature. I can see why it's called the Floating Island of Flowers. However, first-time visitors will have trouble with transportation and food. There are few bus services, so even if you want to make the most of your time, you won't have much flexibility. Renting a car is quite expensive, and it's not an option for those traveling alone. Even during peak season, there are only a limited number of restaurants open. There are no places to get snacks. It might be a good idea to have some time and cook your own meals at the campsite.
