I recently had a wonderful experience at the hotel, which I'd like to share. Due to unexpected delays, I wasn't able to arrive at the hotel before the last order of dinner. However, the hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and offered a flexible arrangement. They kindly arranged for a dinner set to be prepared for me even though I arrived later than expected. I was truly impressed by their exceptional service and attention to detail. The meal itself was delicious and exceeded my expectations. I really appreciate the hotel's willingness to be flexible and make my stay as comfortable as possible. What a beautiful hotel! As travellers from Australia, the staff were so accommodating with the language barrier, and were so warm and welcoming. The buffet was absolutely incredible, facilities perfect, games room for our 6 year old, even a shop! The candy station was also a big hit! Definitely would reccomend!

This is a beautifully preserved old house, yet equipped with modern air conditioning, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. The space is clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a garden and a traditional storehouse. It’s not suitable for a rushed one-night stay — ideally, you should spend 2 to 3 days here to truly experience the architecture and lifestyle of the old house. The building itself is of historical value, and its previous owners have interesting stories. Simply put, you can think of this place as a small museum. Set in the peaceful TogattaOnsen, a very rural town. The area is easier to explore by car. The food was unbelievably good, we did half board, enjoying both breakfast and dinner Japanese style. The service was excellent, all the staff were so helpful, even with my limited Japanese. If you want a relaxing place, this is it, they have both public and private baths available (private is extra cost).

It was an amazing stay at 竹泉荘 Chikusenso Onsen. Everything was perfect: spacious room with all amenties that you need, super friendly and helpful staff, beautifully designed lounges and relaxing onsen! The hotel also offers transfer from Sendai station and transportation in the neighbourhood. Additionally I highly recommend to reserve dinner - the food was not only delicious but served beautifully. It is a really marvellous experience.

We did not see the host but he responded really fast at messages and was really nice and helpful (with questions about the house and the area). The house is also really nice with thick matresses which is great when you have a bad back like me.
