Our short stay at this hotel was simply magical and we absolutely will be coming back to stay again! We stayed for 2 nights in the Jitoku room in late November which timed perfectly with the peak autumn foliage for Minoh. Our room was beautiful and traditional, with stunning views of the Minoh river and the delicate japanese maples on all sides. The furnishings of our room (and the inn itself) are wonderful - accentuated by beautifully preserved wooden furniture, leadlight lamps and art that decorates the property. It really makes the inn feel like a warm home that you can return to after exploring Minoh for the day. The hosts were polite, dedicated and incredibly welcoming - especially with giving us recommendations for dinner and activities around Minoh (even having a pre-drawn map on hand to help with restaurants). They all spoke good English which was a great help given our very rudimentary Japanese skills. We opted for a Kaiseki Dinner at Otowa Sanso for one night, which in itself deserves its own review - but would highly recommend!! The kaiseki breakfasts prepared each morning by the staff were also delicious, and a highlight of the stay. Our hosts clearly put a lot of love and attention-to-detail into each dish - and we appreciated how they varied the meals day-to-day to ensure we got to sample new dishes each morning. The on-site onsens are the ultimate addition that makes the stay feel super luxurious - there is a small and large bath that can be used freely by guests, which were perfect for the cool autumn nights. One thing to note is the road to the inn was closed to taxis in November when we went due to 紅葉狩り tourism, but the walk was very manageable with our luggage and was about 15-20minutes from Minoh Train Station. Overall, we were incredibly happy with our stay and (hopefully) will be returning many more times in the future!

Family-run guesthouse. If you need anything just ask the owners, they will definitely try to accommodate requests and are very responsive. Very welcoming.

It is so far the best vacation rental that I have been to! The place is modern, clean and well-equipped. We enjoyed our stay there and had BBQ at the terrace viewing at the magnificent scene. The staff were thoughtful and prepared all necessities for us, particularly for our kid. Truly recommended!

Our stay was genuinely enjoyable thanks to a mix of thoughtful amenities and charming design. - The location was incredibly convenient - perfect for exploring the area and just a short walk to the nearby onsen. - The building itself has a cool heritage vibe, beautifully maintained and full of character. - Our room was both private and spacious, offering a level of comfort that made it easy to relax - Parking was a breeze: all-day access for just 1000 yen, and the hotel even arranged pickup and drop-off from the carpark. - The staff were fantastic - friendly and proactive. They helped us arrange luggage delivery to our next hotel, which made our travel much smoother.

Our family of 3 had an absolutely fantastic experience during my stay! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The hotel personnel spoke fluent English, making communication smooth and welcoming. I was greeted with a welcome drink that included local beer—a lovely touch—and local snacks that gave a taste of the region right from the start. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was truly impressive. The thoughtfully curated toiletries and the uniquely designed key card showed just how much care went into every aspect of the guest experience. One of the highlights was the in-room customized board games, which added a fun and personal touch. I was especially amazed by the toy museum spread across three floors—it was whimsical, nostalgic, and completely free for guests to explore. Every corner held a new surprise, and I could’ve spent hours more there. My daughter could bear to leave. The complimentary onsen was another wonderful perk—clean, relaxing, and the perfect way to end a day of exploring. I genuinely wish I had stayed longer. This hotel offers more than just a place to sleep—it offers an experience, full of charm, creativity, and thoughtful hospitality. Highly recommended!

Very close to the train station.

The location is perfect, it's close to the metro station and there are many stores and restaurants nearby, such as uniqlo, tokyu hands, etc. The room's size is satisfied for one person, but if there are two guests that will be not sufficient. All the staffs are friendly and welcoming which makes me feel guilty for unablilty of speaking Japanese, I will improve myself next time. Thanks for your nice service.

I visited Takarazuka to attend a couple of shows and ended up booking a stay as a matter of convenience; the hotel is beautiful, fantastic location (wonderful Hana no Michi view) and excellent local connections. The room was perfect and immaculately clean, good working wifi connection and a very comfy bed. The breakfast was also lovely, I'd wholeheartedly recommend booking it as well.
