My stay at Ritz Carlton Nikko was simply fantastic. Put a tremendously passionate, dedicated group of people through a world-class Ritz Carlton hospitality training program and you get service that's nothing short of perfection. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, it's facilities (both spa and public onsen) were amazing, and food was thoughtful, delicious, and wholesome. My wife and I could not have asked for more and yearn to be back in the, hopefully, near future.

Exelent place to travel around lake also it is really quite and relaxing place. Everything was clean and new. Staff was very polite and helpful. Also we were traveling a bit late but there was no problem when we contacted and informed that we might be a bit late.

This is a fantastic authentic mountain stay The property is original and filled with period furniture and personal belongings The host was amazing and despite the fact we were the only guests in the autumn season, spoiled us with an amazing dinner and breakfast and despite our language barrier was keen to get to know us and about our travels If you are looking for an original lodge in the mountains this is a great place to stay We didn’t use the Onsen and the only extra charge was for towels which we were happy to pay Perfect spot for a bike tour to stay

The hotel is in oku nikko which surrounded by nature. If you love nature or snow in winter. This is a perfect place to stay. Outside Onsen also surrounded by snow but unfortunately we cannot see the star that day.

We wanted to go again and visit Nikko, but this time with our "daughter", the dog. Nice area indeed, the facilities are really fine, and although we didn't use all the facilities, like the dog run or the others... We enjoyed the stay. The personnel was incredibly helpful and kind, really great staff. Our room was typical Japanese, slept on a futon, which is my kind of "softness ". The room included WC and bath facilities. If you are there you have to make time to use the in situ Onsen, the sulfur water comes directly from the hot spring, you can actually visit, not far off... It's just fantastic to relax and tone up your skin. The hotel also has a buffet type restaurant, it is ok, simple but good. The Buffet is also prepared for the furry companion/s so in the big room, among the tables you will see many happy families with furry children 🤓🤣🤓. The place is good.

My stay in kegon falls b&b is a standout experience in my trip to Japan! The owner was so accommodating and kind, doing everything in his ability to make our experience as good as it possibly could be. I'm a solo female traveler and he made me feel very safe, the female only area was very comfortable. Vegans and vegetarian travellers fear not!!! The breakfasts have vegan and vego safe options which is so rare in Japan, let alone in Oku-nikko! All food is halal ❤️ There is a prayer room also, which I haven't seen in any other hostel! Like I said, super accommodating. It's a cosy place with traditional tatami flooring in the rooms but modern, very comfy bedding. Heaters are available if requested, which my roommate did and the owner went to impossible lengths to make sure we had the best possible heater for the night!  The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, and in general about most things! He has traveled most of the world and speaks very well in English, German and Espanol. (And of course japanese!) A bike is available to borrow to make getting around easier, and brochures with maps are also available to borrow. And, if you're ever in need of an awe-inspiring story, ask the host about his amazing travels! The items that decorate the downstairs area are tokens of his worldwide adventures. Please dont make the mistake of going anywhere else. Also!!! If you like sweet potato, this is the place for you!!! I can't stress enough how I had such a sweet potato craving the morning before arriving here, and it worked out PERFECTLY! To the owner, thank you so much for a wonderful stay, I'm very excited to tell my friends and family back home all about it! Thank you!

The host speaks great English and was very friendly with chats, upon my arrival he showed me and another guest spots around the area such as restaurants and activities to do further up in Nikko. The host also took extra care in preparing breakfast to fit my Halal needs. Breakfast itself was light but delicous. After check-in, beds are on a first come, first serve basis. Theres a socket at the head of the bed for charging and comes with a small LED light, and the bed itself was super comfortable. Facilities such as shower rooms, toilets and dining/lounge area were clean and well kept. There are lockers with locks to store your valuables. Key point of the place is it's very close proximity to Kegon Falls. I was blessed with such a sunny day to view it's magnificent glory early in the morning before starting my hike.
