Simply Amazing. Ms. Mercy, who is the owner of the Facility, she personally drove down from Nairobi to meet us. Had a great conversation with her. It's a new Hotel, very well maintained. Small but one of the best hotels I ever stayed, even when compared to the likes of Europe and the US. We had our dinner at the hotel and the cheff and restaurant staffs were amazing. While leaving for Safari the next day after we checked out, we forgot the Kettle in the room and given that our baby was with us and I will have a hard time finding a new kettle outside the city, she arranged a conveyence to deliver the kettle to us in the Park. For the next day, the Hotel Staff prepared a hearty breakfast for us all,especially keeping the kids in mind. Would definitely recommend Rock Hyrax to anyone who plans to visit Nakuru.

I had a fantastic stay at Midland Hotel in Nakuru City, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. This hotel offers a rare blend of vintage charm and modern comfort that makes it truly stand out. Location-wise, it’s perfect — centrally located in Nakuru town, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Everything you need is within walking distance, and it’s a great base for exploring Lake Nakuru National Park and the surrounding attractions. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and all the basic amenities you’d expect. While the decor leans more traditional, it adds to the classic, nostalgic vibe of the hotel. What really makes Midland shine is the hospitality. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely eager to help. From the reception to the restaurant team, everyone made me feel welcome and taken care of.

The Ole-Ken is a wonderful slice of heaven situated a walk away from the beehive city. The guards were strict with security. I commend them for this. Kevin at the reception was polite and is a good communicator. The parking lot was secure and the protocol was sensible. We loved the room, but most of all, we cannot fail to bless the chef for the food we received. The chef's special was so good we had it twice! Definitely my hotel destination whenever I am around Nakuru.

We liked it all. The location was great, in the center in a very clean area next to a beautiful park. Perfect to walk around for us. The staff were super nice and helpful with everything we needed. The room was very big, with wonderful view and perfectly equipped. The swimming pool was big, clean and surrounded by a nice area to sit and relax. The restaurant is also very good. And it has a cafe and a nice central area to sit.
