This place isn't for those who like the pace of Seoul. It's a very quiet area with beautiful natural surroundings. We came to see an island we had seen on a Korean variety show, so we knew what we were going in to. However, the next time we come to Korea we want to stay a few more days. The nature is luxurious and the landscapes are incredible.
The nature is luxurious and the landscapes are incredible. I only had foggy weather during my stay but it only added a very mysterious special vibe. It's a nice place for a short trip on foot. There is not a lot of public transport (at least where I was, in Wahyeon) but thanks to the scenic paths on the coast and in the mountains, you can visit the nearest attractions without a car. The south-east coast seemed like a very quiet and peaceful place to me, with some great touristic spots.
