Location of the hotel is very convenient. Bus stop directly to the airport is very close as well as the subway. Surrounding areas us quite and windows were did not let any noise to come. Especially appreciated big bath in the room with separate shower.

The location is great. The hotel is quiet, in the rooms you don't hear noise from the outside at all. Very friendly staff. Clean and large room, large bathroom. The room was cleaned every day. The bathroom has all the necessary products, such as a toothbrush, bath sponge, etc. and even a hair band. The room was heated and its so good for this cold weather. Im coming from israel, so for me korea was very cold. I really liked the hotel. There is a huge window in the room. Many thanks to the hotel staff.

Staff spoke English and quite helpful. For example, they provided good directions and even accompanied me half way to the nearest subway station. Also, it's really nice that they provided complimentary loan of USB Charger, travel adapters, etc.

Great area for those interested in traditional Korean...

Great area for those interested in traditional Korean chicken and fortresses. We arrived later than and left early, we’d love to come back and walk the fortress! The only problem we had was transportation…the Ubers would not pick us up to take us to our place so we had to figure out the subway and train, which worked, but took all day from Seoul.

We have been living in Korea for 8 years, in the Incheon...

We have been living in Korea for 8 years, in the Incheon area, meaning that Seoul and Suwon are about 1h drive. While Seoul is a 10-million city that is huge, Suwon has a true city feeling with a 'center' that just feels very city-like from a European perspective. That is why it's our favored place to go for shopping, a city walk, or a weekend trip escaping the otherwise never-ending work pressure. So many 'local' places with good food, which makes the city alive. The center feels 'historic' even with the main palace being a recently-build copy of what once was. So, we have been their many times, and will come in the future. Every season, the city has a different charm.

I went to Motgol market, Jidong market and Hwaseong fortress...

I went to Motgol market, Jidong market and Hwaseong fortress and all three were very nice, the markets were an authentic experience. When I visit historical places like the fortress I prefer to take a guided tour or at least read about it before but that visit was spontaneous so I mostly enjoyed the walk along the wall.

Suwon has a great atmosphere.

Suwon has a great atmosphere. There are lots of cafes and restaurants, lots of young people, and plenty to see. I would have stayed another day. Plus, I found the people there very friendly.

The city has a population of about 1 million people and it...

The city has a population of about 1 million people and it shows in the traffic. The city has grown in many different phases and that's a bit of a shame. The traffic is fast-paced and there are no underpasses built under the main streets. Why? The buses drive fast and the equipment is old, but the route system and app work well. The castle and the surrounding ridge area open up a whole new view of the entire city.

I traveled for work.

I traveled for work. Suwon can be visited in a day or two, but it's a budget-friendly alternative to Seoul, being just an hour by subway from the city center. Hyanggyo-ro is a street full of bars and restaurants that stay open late. Hwaseong Fortress and the reconstruction of the royal palace are worth a visit. The historic center is very small but charming.

The room we were provided was not in good clean condition. Receptionist immediately changed and upgraded us to a better room with washing machine. That was very useful as despite not having a dryer, clothes did dry overnight or there is a launderette just minutes walk away. So many good restaurants nearby. This hotel is very good value for money. Walking distance to the train station too.

Very nice breakfast. There were stable items on the breakfast spread but there was always at least 1-2 items that were changed daily. Location was good, many eating places around; a convenience store located just across the hotel; bus stop was walking distance. There is a charging station for the different types ports in the room!
