This hostel is directly at the beach. The rooms are small, but well equipped. The burgers in the restaurant are really good. The hostel is in a small village which has everything for a great stay: good restaurants, nice cafes, nice beach to hang out or surf, cristal clear see water. Very nice location to escape from the busy city life.

The hotel has plenty of parking, which was nice. It is also within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping. The rooms are quite large, clean, and the view from the window (ocean view) was nice. The complimentary water bottles and refrigerator were nice.

I often visit Sokcho or Gangneung on my trips to the East...

I often visit Sokcho or Gangneung on my trips to the East Coast, but I also enjoyed trips to Donghae and Samcheok. In Donghae, you can relax on a little-known beach, trek through Mureung Valley, and enjoy a cup of coffee overlooking the ocean at a cafe in front of Mukho Lighthouse. Samcheok offers many things to do, such as driving along the Saecheonnyeon Coastal Road, enjoying a coffee overlooking the ocean at a cafe near Hanjae, visiting Jangho Port and Galnam Port, and exploring the city's culinary delights. In spring, summer, and fall, you can also head inland to Samcheok and relax in its valleys, making it a place I visit often. When I was younger, I often traveled to Seoraksan Mountain and Sokcho, but now I find myself traveling to Donghae and Samcheok more often. I think it's because I enjoy them.

Walking along the deck on the beach, it was nice to see the ocean and the landscaping, and I was surprised that everything was well-maintained, including eating and sleeping. The photo zone was well-made. No matter where you take a picture, you'll get artistic results. It's great for a leisurely stroll. If you're busy, come back next time. If you're looking to fully enjoy the East Sea, I highly recommend coming. The coastal fence has been removed and is now open to the public. The E-Mart right next door and the convenience store inside the hotel are also very nice.

I've been to the East Sea many times, but every time I visit...

I've been to the East Sea many times, but every time I visit, I always return to Eodal Beach. It's small, but the ocean is breathtaking, and it's a place you'll want to spend some time gazing at. After exploring the Eodal Beach seaside, the nearby mural village is a great place to visit as well. If you have more freedom, I recommend driving to Mangsang Beach in the north and taking a stroll along the beach. It's a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the ocean view.

I'm a Gangwon-do enthusiast, traveling to coastal areas like the East Sea, Seoraksan Mountain, and Odaesan Mountain, or to mountain valleys, two to three times a year. This year, I've already toured the Sokcho and Samcheok areas, and I still have some fall foliage to see, but I can't afford to procrastinate. The gomchi stew I had in Sokcho, the Korean set meal, raw fish soup, and sweet and sour chicken I had in Samcheok—they're all still mouthwatering, and I'm eagerly awaiting next year. I believe Gangwon-do will attract even more tourists as it becomes more accessible.

The view of the East Sea from Mukho Lighthouse and Windy...

The view of the East Sea from Mukho Lighthouse and Windy Hill is stunning. Mureung Valley is great for trekking along a gentle path with stunning scenery. There are plenty of places to visit, including Jangho Port and the New Millennium Coastal Road. I took a three-day, two-night trip to Donghae and Samcheok from the Seoul metropolitan area, but if you want to also visit the Sea Train, Chuam Candlestick Rock, and Jeongdong Simgok Fan Sea Road, you'll need three or four nights. Of course, depending on your preferences, there are plenty of options for day trips, two-day trips, or three-day trips. In the past, I'd head to Sokcho for the East Sea, but personally, I prefer Donghae and Samcheok.
