Ravanna Garden is a boutique hotel like no other. The staff, food, rooms, garden, pool, beach are all exceptional. It is a little oasis in an otherwise busy world! On Arrival there is building works going on which a little off putting, but no one is disturbed by it and once walked beyond it you arrive into the oasis! The rooms are large, super clean and comfortable with every facility needed . NOTE - on arrival you are asked to let them know if ,and when, you would like your room cleaned. Remember this is an eco hotel, therefore how often do you really need your towels and linen changing ?! The food is exceptional, organic, local, and you can even buy their own local spices. The service throughout is excellent and they cannot do enough to ensure your stay with them is nothing short of everything you would like. A walk along the beach is must to the harbour wall where there is a safe swimming spot, and many of the locals converge there. Be brave and stay longer than 1 or 2 nights, it is very much well worth it - there are added surprises along the way and the team do everything they can. Bikes are available to go the local temple and a visit with a hotel guide to show the effects of the Tsunami is a must, plus the wildlife and roadside stores make for a very interesting visit.

The location was picturesque, staff was super friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the stay was really comfortable with all the comforts that you'd expect in any good hotel. As a minor detail, I loved the fragrance of the toiletries provided. This place gives you a great value for the money you spend on it.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. There are plenty of facilities to enjoy, and the pools are very well maintained, making it a great spot for both kids and adults. The staff is incredibly attentive and always ready to assist—we truly felt taken care of throughout our stay. One incident that really stood out was when my child fell sick. The 24 hr clinic assisted us in the wee hours of the morning, and we were able to get the necessary medications quickly. Thankfully, my child was doing much better within a day, and we were able to relax again knowing we were in good hands. The food is delicious with a lot of variety, and the service staff consistently checked in to see if we needed anything. It’s clear that guest comfort is a top priority here. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for a family vacation—comfortable, safe, and full of thoughtful touches. Highly recommended!

This is an amazing place. The house is big and beautiful and close to nature. You can feel real Sri Lanka here. And the host will provide you with a lot of information about living in Sri Lanka- something you will not learn elsewhere. All the members of the family taking care of the place were extremely helpful. We additionely got the nature Tour with weaver birds' nests and monitor lizards from the host! Excellent place for birds watching and nature lovers! We highly recommend it!!!

We stayed in Lankavatara 9 days and we had a wonderful and restoring experience. We choose the location because is very quite and immerse in the nature and after 10 days going around the island we needed a break before leaving. What make our stay unforgettable has been also the staff, all are very helpful and professional, from the staff at the reception, the staff at the restaurant, the staff who clean, and the staff at the spa. We stayed for 4 nights in November 2022 and it was truly an amazing stay. Our room was facing the beautiful rough sea. We enjoyed the waves, they seem strong but it is actually safe to swim, it’s very shallow. There are delicious breakfast and dinners served at the cafe and you can order drinks and snacks throughout a day. Few things to note: - The place has just reopened after being closed for a couple of years. Some rooms are still getting their makeover. - The staff are all new and still learning their way around. The owner provides great guidance and is there if you have any questions that staff cannot answer. Please be patient with them. - This hotel is a home to three local dogs who are the friendliest creatures ever. They will often come to the guest for cuddles or just sleep in the shades under trees.

Very nice stay at trendy house near Tangalle. It´s great experience to stay here. It´s designed for couples, but we stayed there with our small daughter. Nature near is very nice, lot of colorful birds, peacocks, and other animals. Beach is little bit far away (maybe 20-25 minutes walk). Breakfast was absolutely great, one of the best in Sri Lanka. Our host was very helpful and always smiling :)

Really nice and relaxed place. The bungalows are really spacious and the view on the sea is amazing. We teally liked to chill on our terrace. Besides the pool is also very well done. Lastly the employees are really friendly and we had a warm welcome of the owner. She is in the hotel and gives a lot of recommendations.
