We chose Meena Amma's Tea Experience because we wanted to have a closer and more genuine experience with locals, and because we wanted an accommodation close to the hiking trails of the Hortons Plains. Meena was such an amazing host. She took care of us in the best way possible. She walked with us to show us the surroundings, explained to us useful tips on Sri Lankan cuisine, and cooked for us the best and most authentic meals we had in Sri Lanka. Although, we thought that her cooking was amazing, it was a little bit salty for our taste buds. The room was nicely decorated and has the convenience of a nearly a 5* standard. Highly recommended accommodation in a strategic location close to Nuwara Eliya and Horton Plains. Just beware of the entrance road to the village is not asphalted!

Every aspect of this boutique, modern eco lodge was AMAZING! We stayed for a couple of days after Christmas and loved the festive feel, fire pits, and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The buildings blend in with the landscape and interiors are stunning - recommend staying in Chalet Neru. The food was delicious and higher end and the fruit / veg grown onsite. Our kids loved the farm tour and homemade ice cream and jams. All staff were super friendly, professional and seemed genuinely happy to work there. Kitchen was accommodating with my allergy restrictions. I’d been concerned about insects before we arrived however only spotted a couple of stick insects outdoors during our trip. Everyone in our family wished we could have stayed at the property for at least one more night.

We stayed in Nuwara Eliya for a week, trying out different places, and J's Villa was the best for its price and super clean. The host was really nice and helped us a lot. We felt at home during our 2-night stay. The host even said they could cook for us if we brought groceries, but we didn't try it because we ate outside. The location is good, not too far from the city – about 15 minutes by car. Overall, it's a really good place to stay in Nuwara Eliya.

This property had very very beautiful big rooms, very nice design overall, it was sparkling clean, the beds were big and extra comfortable, we had a quite large balcony with an amazing view over Nuwara Eliya. The staff very very welcoming, helpful and polite. Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of options to choose from and it is served on a rooftop terrace. I felt amazing staying here and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

The food was so delicious and freshly prepared for us upon our order on arrival. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable, we felt so welcome and comfortable here! The room was also spacious, clean and very comfy. We wanted to head off very early in the morning for a hike and they prepared us our breakfast to go (at 5am!). And they even offered free accommodation and food for our tour guide which we really appreciated!
