My partner and I stayed at Forest Shade Eco Resort earlier this month and we had a wonderful experience. We came cycling from Colombo and unfortunately had a small accident on the way. We called the hotel and they arranged a vehicle that picked us up straight from the hospital, everything went super smoothly and it was absolutely sweet how everyone was so concerned about us (we are fine now). This place is definetely the right spot when you need to recover from a bicycle accident or life in gereral. Our room and the attached balcony overlooked the river and we had a fantastic view! The food was lovely as well, we got the Sri Lankan option for dinner and breakfast and loved it. This place is a 100 percent recommendation and we will definetely come again on our bikes to explore the beautiful area a bit more.

Very nice calm and peaceful location. Staff is very nice. They tried do the best for guests. Good service. We had a nice experience in a colonial time estate bunglow. Definitely we will visit this place again.

overall excellent property. it's just 6 months old so very neat, crisp and with superb interiors. The location is awesome just above a river. The transfer is done by boat due to it's narrow path which is very thrilling and exciting. (they are building a ropeway in near future) The staff is very much cordial and very helpful. specially Mr.Dolip the manager was really helpful. they cooked special vegetarian food for us which was really delicious. they provided us free Kayak and Our daughter enjoyed the kayaking very much. overall we really enjoyed the stay and we regret that we booked only 1 night as we could easily stay here for minimum 3 nights. qe look forward to come here again.

Fantastic service with really kind and attentive staff. They were super helpful with organising things and you can tell they are proud of their hotel. The hotel has a great view that is nice and close to the rapids for rafting. Our room was lovely! The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was clean. It was nice to have consistent hot water as well. The restaurant was delicious. We were served a big filling breakfast that kept us going. We also had beautiful dinner from their restaurant at really affordable prices. A wonderful stay!

Beautiful location, peaceful surroundings and lush garden. I suppose the place is quieter before high season. Delicious authentic fresh food and drink offerings. Very good cooking. Very welcoming and friendly environment. Super professional attentive staff and service. All lovely genuine and passionate people. Exceeds expectations in all areas. Will definitely recommend and try visit again if possible.

Awesome food, great location with a good view over the mountains and forest with monkeys. Loved the sound of nature in the cabin. Very close to natural pools you can swim and climb through. The service from Rangi was great, thanks!
