Very nice calm and peaceful location. Staff is very nice. They tried do the best for guests. Good service. We had a nice experience in a colonial time estate bunglow. Definitely we will visit this place again.

We came across Wanakaset accidentally and fitted it into our already tight schedule, so we could only stay for one night, which is a shame. We would have liked to stay at least one more night to see more of the estate, especially as we had the “Apple room”, which is the big room at the front side of the building with the best view. We very much enjoyed this unusual accommodation, the fantastic views and the fireflies at night. The bed was the most comfy we had in Sri Lanka and despite our concerns we had no problems with mosquitos. Also we had our own (but not ensuite) bathroom, which we did not expect. Maybe because Wanakaset was not fully booked.

Absolutely breathtaking view of the lake directly from the room, coupled with outstanding cuisine and exceptionally welcoming staff. The rafting experience was phenomenal and arranging it was a breeze. Overall, a truly remarkable stay!

The stunning locations, in the middle of the rain forest with a private natural pool. The room design, the food and the multiple activities (rafting, trekking city tour waterfall visit etc.) are other elements that made us having a great experience. Everything about our stay was incredible. The staff made our stay extra special. Our room had a private pool which faced the jungle and it was very relaxing to enjoy a dip in the heated pool while being inside the jungle and listening to the river water flowing below. We had monkeys visiting our balcony in the morning. The retreat is facing the river and featured a natural pool for guests to enjoy. Indoneel went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and pleasure, he has even surprised us with a romantic candle dinner. Lalith, the Chef, prepared amazing meals for us and was super kind and friendly too. The retreat had an accommodation for our driver which was a great gesture. I would highly recommend this place and would love to stay there again. P.S. they said the food there was halal, which was a great addition

Awesome food, great location with a good view over the mountains and forest with monkeys. Loved the sound of nature in the cabin. Very close to natural pools you can swim and climb through. The service from Rangi was great, thanks!
