This b&b is managed by Dilshan and gentle Piyumi and their family. They manage the place with charme and love and you feel to be home as soon as you step inside. They are ready to offer suggestions for sightseeing with a local expert. I was amazed seeing a few European customers that keep coming back to the Guest House. When I left I realized why. The room we had was spacious and had a terrace with view. Topically Sri Lankian style decorated. A large bathroom with shower and morning breakfast with local traditional food. WiFi was available and good. Do not expect luxury’s, but attention and love is guaranteed.

We highly recommend this hotel! The staff is exceptional—always attentive and ready to assist with anything we needed. The food was so good, thanks to a talented chef who adapted the menu to suit our requirements. Everything was fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. Our family of 10 stayed at this hotel over Christmas, and we were all extremely satisfied and happy with our choice. The garden and swimming pool were wonderful bonuses. We initially hesitated between several cities in the tea region, but choosing Haputale turned out to be perfect. It’s a charming village with only locals and no mass tourism, offering a truly authentic experience. One morning, we woke up early, took a tuk-tuk, and visited Lipton’s Seat—it was magical! The colors and landscapes made it one of our most memorable moments in Sri Lanka. We also had the chance to take the train from Haputale station, which added to the experience. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay in the mountains, don’t hesitate—this place is perfect!

The location is just a short walk to the amazing beauty of natural pools of Diyaluma waterfalls. Watching the sunset there is one of our core memories in Sri Lanka. The accommodation is more on the simple side, but what makes up for it is Imantika (pardon the spelling:)) and her family. They are the definition of kindness and their hospitality is something that we haven’t encountered anywhere else. Thank you for having us and wish you many more satisfied customers. Where do we begin? From the moment we stepped through the door we were knew this was going to be a highlight of our holiday. The hotel arranged a free pickup from Haputale train station and greeted us with a hot towel and a welcome drink. The location and view are breathtaking, the food is amazing and plentiful, and the cocktails were some of the best we’ve had. The rooms are beautiful with such attention to detail. We won’t spoil some of the wonderful touches that you will experience during your stay, but you will not be disappointed. The main reason why this place is so special is thanks to the wonderful team of people who work here. Exceptionally attentive in an understated kind of way. In a country where we have experienced nothing but great service and genuine hospitality this place really takes it to the next level thanks to everyone we met during our stay. We were made to feel like this was our home from home and loved it so much we extended our stay by one day. The ride up to Lipton’s seat is a must and we recommend walking part way back to enjoy the serene atmosphere of walking through the tea bushes and the tea pickers. Also, be sure to walk around the hotel property. If you are really lucky you might be joined for breakfast by the inquisitive monkeys. Sure, it’s not going to be the cheapest place you stay, but in our opinion it’s worth every penny. If you are looking for a little piece of heaven in Sri Lanka you’ve just found it! Definitely our favourite hotel of our holiday.
