We had a wonderful time here. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a private pool and a beautiful river view. The bed was super cozy and the AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was excellent and really delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Wilpattu!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Taru Villas Villu Wilpattu, and I must say that the hospitality provided by the team was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The team’s attention to our needs, combined with their warm and friendly nature, truly made our time at Taru Villas unforgettable. Backwaters was a lovely spot on the doorstep to the western gate of Wilpattu. They organised a game drive for us (where we saw lots), a river trip and boat ride to our next destination. The rooms and grounds are full of nice, environmentally friendly touches, and the meals are great. Since the centre of the park is a little ways from this gate, a full day game drive turned out to be better than a half day - and allowed usto see lots of elephants at the end of the day.

We had a wonderful time. The accommodation was awesome and better then expected. The AC worked good and the pool was very nice to cool down. Around the accommodation there were a few monkeys to spot and observe. The best was the staff, especially Shantha. He's done everything to fulfill our wishes. The manager Manori is doing a good job too. Unfortunately, we had not the time to meet her in person.
