The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

The property is one of the best ones I have ever stayed in Sri Lanka. You feel luxurious as soon as you enter in, where the staff welcomes you to light up the oil to feel at home. The hotel has also kept the nature around, building houses around trees and including them in the design. It looks like a town village where you can go around and discover new and beautiful corners at every step. There is even a bathtub facing the lake of Giritale and you can enjoy a bath with an incredible view. The staff is super helpful and the food was delicious! We had buffet dinner there and we enjoyed every plate. The breakfast was also really delicious!

Everything was great at this hotel.. amazing staff that is friendly and makes customers feel welcome. The pool was perfect after a long day sightseeing. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. One of the best places we have stayed in Sri Lanka.

Once we left the crowded Colombo we arrived to this magical and relaxing place, surrounded by nature and a few minutes away from Polonnaruwa. The place, the room, the bath, the hospitality and the GREAT host that we had really made our visit worth it. He tooked care of us and for everything that we needed, giving us recommendations, sharing with us delicious meals, inspiring conversations and moments that will remain with us forever. The host, Mina, is exceptionally kind. She wants all her guests to be happy, comfortable and 'well feed'!!! Her cooking is also exceptional. The accommodation is simple, in a good way. An amazing place with fantastic staff. The location is superb, making it the perfect spot to stay for days and enjoy the views. I'd call it a gem of a location—great for drone shots, a lovely pool, and delicious food. An added bonus was the amazing and tasty English breakfast included with the booking. Nearby, you can enjoy boat rides and watch fishing activities. Plus, I even got a free car wash from the facility! Highly recommended for those seeking a calm and quiet retreat with beautiful sunsets.

    This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the resort than in Polonnaruwa. A guest could stay here for many days as the ground are huge and relaxing. Pool and spa are kept spotless by a dedicated person that has been doing ot proudly for over 21 years.

    location is wonderful by lake - plenty of places to sit around pool and in beautiful garden leading to lake views and on terrace by restaurant (choice of sun or shade everywhere) - staff super helpful and friendly especially pool attendant and restaurant manager - great for us, but sad for hotel, we were one of only two couples on second night in this 80 room hotel - bungalow room was very elegant with delightful open air bathroom (although nowhere to sit outside) - this would be a great time to visit!!!!!!

    This is a sanctuary stay in a rural place. It was easy to find with a bus from the cross roads stop in Habarana, on any bus going to polonnaruwa, getting off at Giritale, 2nd stop then walking a short distance along a canal road. Nilu and family are very welcoming. Breakfast included is delicious. Wonderful meals are available.

    Highly recommend the rooms with the indoor / outdoor bathroom. This makes this hotel unique and something you will remember a long time as being unusual and gigantic. We chose this hotel as a excellent best option whilst visiting the nearby Polunnaruwa Ancient Ruins sites.

    Location was great - the views from the front deck/jacuzzi were stunning looking over the lake. The hotel and the rooms were very pretty, and you felt like you were in the jungle (very peaceful and relaxing being in nature!) We also loved the outdoor rain shower and bath.
