Location is amazing. Like a little private island. Entrance to the resort is like a nice walk in mangrove jungle. It’s really well mantained. We stayed in the ac room and the room was super clean, really comfortable and well decorated. Staff and the owner, ware really helpful and really sweet to us. We can totally recommend to stay here.

Really nice room located next to the beaches. Very good breakfast in quantity! And the staff are really nice and helpful. They took us for a boat trip to see the mangroves and to see what there is to see around. And show us the gems from Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

The welcome to the hotel was excellent. We had booked a standard room and the staff was kind enough to offer us a river front villa. The room was very spacious and sufficiently furnished. Barthroom was super clean. Kitchen staff was able to provide the food exactly according to our request on time with a smile. The evening tea at the river front was remarkable. Had a peaceful and pleasant stay. Eagerly withing for a repeat visit to River Shade for a longer stay.

Great location, great staff helps with any request. Hasitha is the top number one administrator in Sri Lanka. Ishara is a very kind and polite girl, we liked her very much. Terrace overlooking the ocean, warm pool, clean rooms. Great food, they will cook you everything you ask for from your products. Just divinely arrived for two days, stayed for a week.
